Absolutely agree!! However, he is from NY, I dont think 19's will be a wise choice. Probably 18's will be more practical.

Is the wood interior an option or do all 55s come with wood interior as opposed to the '04 silver trims?

Very sweet ride! I noticed that you got floor mats with "///AMG", the ones that came in my car were just the normal "Mercedes-Benz" . Did those come with the car or did you buy those seperately?

Harris,
The Burl Walnut Trim is now an option on all '05 AMG models, just tell the dealer you want option code W60!

Thanks for the kind words guys..i'd get the 19's if it wasnt for the fact that i'm leasing the car. The burl wood trim was an option, but i really like the way it gives the interior a classy look. Marcus, the floormats were given to me by the dealer for taking a day longer to get the car ready for delivery. Ironically, i picked it up a day AFTER that day.
I also got the bi-xenon headlamp package...i'll be taking some night-time pictures of the car when i come back from vacation.

Very SWEET Ride!!!

Now you have me second guessing my decision to keep my 208; The exhaust looks awesome and the 18's staggered set do as well. Love the star grill and flat emblem and the interior lots Hot.

How long did you lease it for ? As I am looking at doing the same with 12k per option but I do like to modify so I may refrain from the lease, just curious. How long did it take to order it?? I am being told 5-7 months in my area.

CONGRATS!! Now I'm jealous
Loved all the pics too very much appreciated

I got the car from Manhattan Mercedes in NYC. I actually ended up talking to 3 dealers through the week when i made the decision. I went to Ray Catena in NJ, who told me the best they could do for me was about $500 over msrp, plus lots of other extra fees, etc. The lease payment was about $300 over what i expected to pay. I actually ended up speaking to billybenz (he posts on these forums, very good guy) who was very competitive with the pricing, i just wanted to go with someone local. I walked into the dealership in manhattan and since i knew how much i could get it for, it took me about 30 minutes to negotiate the deal. I ended up getting it for about $700 over invoice...translated to 36 month lease @ 1,200/mo. for 10k miles, no money down, no up front costs..all of them were rolled into the lease.

I was going to order black/dark blue leather, but that one option meant i would have had to do a special order and i was told it would have taken at least 4 months...so i went w/ the black/charcoal option because there was a car in TX that had the rest of the options that i wanted....

Talking

Thanks for the info!!

Wow sounds like you got a smokin deal wish I lived up on the east coast!! That payment is 300 less a month than i was quoted and they wanted 2500 down for a 12k per year lease 39 months so you definately made out!! And my gawd that car looks Sick as hell!! So jealous right now!! I am sure the pics dont do it justice!!

Just got back from vaca...the pics were taken in New Jersey... Quick question for everyone, does anyone know if there is a digital readout for the tire pressure on the CLK? Also, i just installed my 3 yr. old ESCORT radar detector...has anyone had any experience w/ the new version...i'm also thinking about getting a laser jammer, any suggestions or opinions?
Thanks.

I've heard good things about Lidatek. But I have no experience with the Escort (I've got a V1)

keyless go has some problems. Like keys are not recognized correctly from time to time while driving(!!!!!!!!!! this scared many many people though MB says it's ok~~, I was scared too.) Also some people could not start their cars with keyless because the transponders had problems. I have to admit it's a cool function of MB. But I would like to wait until it's perfected. Nav is the one I want the most...

Had two 209's with keyless, the 03 was problematic vs. the 04, once or twice with the 03 the key was not recognized and all I had to do was insert it in the ignition and she started right up. No problems with the 04 and it's a year old.
