Pics of the CLK63 Black Edition at the 2007 AMG Challenge at the California Speedway, Fontana, Calif on 2/13/07.

Just some quick facts as told to me by the AMG Div Manager.

This one is the only one in the US at this time.
500 HP
3 inch wider wheel base
Backseat removed by AMG due to weight concerns
135K price

This is a real beauty and due to its limited production of 350 cars will be a collector's car. You can sign up for one of 10 that are being made available for pickup at the factory in Germany to AMG Lounge members only found at:

- If it is "the only one in the US at this time", it's because all of the cars at the Willow Springs press event last week were shipped back to Germany.

- I think you mean 3" wider track, not wheelbase.

do you have any more pics of the interior or exterior from the driving event, were the carbon fiber door panels in the us specd car, also did they mention if the us version will have the amber lights on the frot fascia?

No CF interior side panels in the US cars; we get side airbags instead. The pictures clearly show amber front side markers.

There are more than one in the States. We have 5 or 6 at work. I'm out in Portland on another assignment but will post pix when I get back in 2 weeks. We were involved in delivery, pick up and storage of most if not all cars involved in that AMG deal. I got to drive couple of them from Long Beach to L.A. and they're incredible.

Not exactly, but close. We have a MB press fleet. The car I drove (white one which we don't have anymore) was a fleet car that I delivered to a journalist. If you pick up the newest Motor Trend, there is an article about the CLK 63 Black Series with a bunch of pictures. That is also our fleet car (pix below), in this case the Mr. Arthur St. Antoine picked up the car from our warehouse and was stoked to get it.

So, as promissed, here are the pix of the car that went to Motor Trend and another one (this one is hot) that is still being stored with us.

The last picture is taken from a CL63 that was parker in front of it that I had to move. Sorry for not the greatest quality of pix, but I wasn't using a very good camera, I was in a rush and I'm not a photographer. Hope you enjoy!

They actually have two. The other is in silver. I only had the camera on my phone. Not terrible pics but it is only a 2 mega pixel.
