fuel consumption clk 63 vs. clk 63 Black Series

Hi guys, i have a regular CLK 63 AMG, and i was considering to trade it for a CLK 63 Black Series. How much higher do you think would be gas consumption and maintinance in general?
Thank you

Looks about the same... they both have the same engine.

....not to worry, I'm sure two are complicated enough keeping up with? Besides, you would NEVER have a regular CLK63.....

Common sense would lead one to believe that the difference is negligable (not to mention that the BS will most likely have at least 3 years of warranty left). Common sense would also lead one believe that when you are deciding whether to trade in your 4 seat convertible cruiser for a track ready 2 seat coupe BS, and the 2 issues that concern you enough to ask this board are the ones above, you are probably better off keeping your car.

You will get 30 mpg in the city and 40 on the highway. All maintence is free. You can believe everything on the internet.

Well, fuel consumption and maintenance is always high on my priority list when shopping for a performance car For what ever reason though I always end up with gas guzzling high maintenance cars that are a lot of fun to drive.

If either of these things are of real importance to you maybe you should consider a different car. I'm lucky if I get 10mpg city, sometimes I probably average 6mpg. As for maintenance, the car has a good factory warranty, although does not carry the 3 years of scheduled maintenance M-B offered up until a couple years ago, if you want all your maintenance paid for your only option is BMW. One more thing, on the Black Series you are going to burn through tires like nobody's business, and they are pricey tires.

If you are trying to justify buying one, I would not focus on those two departments.

To answer your question, I get 14 mpg in stop and start suburban driving, and 19.5 in sustained 75-85 mph highway driving.
I have 2 sets of tires (orig pirellis for track plus Bridgestones for street), and haven't come close to wearing anything out at 11,000 miles.
I had one warranty repair for a cam sensor, and needed to replace one o-ring in the drivers side floor mat when it detached from it's hook.
Heve enjoyed every one of those miles. Only hassle is washing the rims. AS
