I wish the dealer would have told me how bad is visibilit on the back! If you can get parktronik. If you are in US and not in abig city.. you may not needed but for sure you will feel the need for it.

Parktronic is a Must. I use it everyday. I just wait till I hear and see the red light Hit the Brakes. You cant Crash.

Importance of Parktronic
I've had 2 CLSs in the last 12 months (my first was stolen). On my first delivery date I thought the parktronic wasn't working (because I was moving from a BMW 730d and that had a display for the parking sensors). Basically I was never going close enough to the solid surfaces to get even the first LED to light up. What this tells me is that the CLS is a very hard car to gauge its corners without Parktronic (or a lot of experience of ownership).
I live in Europe (Budapest) so with the right spaces here it is essential (the car would have been toast without it) however in the US (where I lived for 13 years) my opinion is that parking spaces are huge and so you might not really need it as much. For sure the CLS is a hard car to estimate for a while. Hope this helps. |

It's needed in the CLS. You will never fully get used to where the front or rear of the car is. The hood and trunk both slope down so you cant see it. You end up estimating everytime and one time you will F up. Get the parktronic. You wont regret it.

+2. Find a car that has it, or get the dealer to add it to the car you are looking at. |

I use mine every day. I couldn't imagine owning a car without it now. Definitely get it. It's worth every penny.
