Not a fan of those rims. Lowering it would probably help though.

It is quite obvious that you wouldnt be a fan of my rims. By looking at your pictures, it is quite clear that you like putting extremely ghetto rims on an $85,000 car. I always point and laugh at people who put ghetto rims on a Benz. I guess you wouldnt know what class was if it smacked you in the mouth

LMAO. I don't get into flame wars, but your comment is so true. Lowenhardts, TIS, and Asanti's belong on 300C's not $80k+ Benz. I like the rims

Is the car on its lowest setting? It would look great even with just a .5 inch drop

What the! Cheap out? .. what on earth are you on about? Vossens are just as expensive as anything else and your implying that they are poor wheels. Since when was $5000 cheap. Since when was expensive = good! What a twit! If he likes them and they are not rubbish wheels leave him alone.

Vossens are mid-range. They are nice. I would buy a set. Not everyone wants to pay 4-7k and up for a set of wheels especially depending on road environment.

You get a great look for great price with Vossen. Cheap out rims are the POS ebay ones and replicas that go for like $200 a piece new, they flake, dull ass lips tarnish so fast and so on...

I myself would be hesitant with a wheel set of 5k plus..I had a set of HRE's on a diff. car that had so many chronic air loss issues it drove me nuts. Not that they all are, but now I could of bought a cheaper 3 piece set and been happy. If $ and time werent an object of course I would go this route..

Just lower the car and youll be rockin

Wow! What an attack

smcgurk, why start a thread to get an opinion, then get upset when you get a negative one ?

I need to correct you about lowenharts. Lowenhart is a company that is now out of business, but years ago when they first came out, they were the hottest thing around. They created many ground breaking styles for luxury vehicles. Many of these styles, like the one on my car and in4life, was copied by other wheel companies and sold as a cheap one piece version. I bought my Lowenharts as soon as I bought my CLS in Dec 2005, and paid $8000 with tires. After calling company after company to get a discount, I found out that this was a set price at the time. Most of you on this forum hate chrome. I guess chrome seems to be the ghetto choice these days. But who cares. If you feel like telling in4life that you dont care for his wheels either, then that would be fine. But your attack was really not called for. And I'm not offended because I have them on my car because I expect people to have different taste.
Where I am from, Lowenharts has always been a brand named wheel that you would never see sitting on a shelf. Special order only.

I dont know much about Vossen, but that three piece Lowenhart wheel is a work of art that can be copied but never duplicated

My Lowenharts were sold and I am waiting on my new wheels at this time.
21" 360 forged with Carbon Fiber face and white lip.

I think the Vossen wheels look fine, keep them clean bro

So true.

There are probably great wheels on the market that won't have a chance because of the brand name issue.

damn looks like ill be at the wheel shop dropping my car next weekend. I knew right when I saw my car with the Vossens on, that it needed to be dropped. Just havent had the time to drop my car off. What is the best method to drop my car?? How much should I expect to pay??? Anyone not familiar with Vossen should check them out quick! Great style and great price. They have the look of a 3 piece but not so EXPENSIVE. Extremely flat, does bow out, which is a quick indication of a cheap one piece wheel. I love pulling up to valet and seeing everyones heads turn as I rollllllllll by. Thanks for all the comments. Keep them coming!

No problem Did you get a one piece wheel, but with a staggered size? One advantage is that your wheel is stronger as a one piece wheel.

Yes they are staggered 9.5 in the front and 10.5 in the rear with a nice deep lip. And yes that is why i went with Vossen. They are a 1 piece wheel which is much stronger than a 3 piece wheel. They look like a 3 piece but without the ridiculous price tag. These were the "flattest" 1 piece I could find

Thumbs up

I wouldn't say that 1pc is stronger than a forged 3pc wheel necessarily. 1pc piece wheels are more prone to cracking while 3pc forged wheels with spun barrels tend to bend. This makes them easier to repair.

Nonetheless, Vossen wheels are IMO the classiest "3pc looking" 1pc wheel. Nice designs and they look as they are high quality as well. They are also tend to be on the higher side when it comes to 1pc wheels, not that far off from 3pc pricing. "Cheap" is relative though. $5000 for the Vossen's with tires puts you close to 3pc pricing. You can probably get a set of 20" 3pc forged wheels w/ two tone center finish with tires for around $5500-6500. The CLS looks good either way.

Love the wheels! The car looks great.

BTW - our retail price on a 20x9 and 20x10.5 set is $2300. Add tires and the most they will cost is $3500 for wheels and tires.

Please PM me with any questions about our wheels.

Ok I haven't been on here in a few days but I came back and saw this.

Seriously, your apology seems really empty right about now.

Just like Brent said, you came on here asking for opinions and I gave mine. I'm not a fan of those rims. They look bland to me. My rims maybe "ghetto" or flashy or whatever but that is the style that I like. You like yours I like mine. Most guys on here say that chrome rims are ghetto. I agree but only on certain types of rims. I've always liked that style of rim even before I got my CLS. I knew that would be the only rim that I would put on it when I got it. I found a set and put them on there. In the real world I've received nothing but compliments on them. But on here people just want to bash. I could really care less what the people on here think. Most of them are stuck up anyways.

So enjoy your rims and I'll enjoy mine. Next time you come on here asking for opinions don't have such a thin skin. I don't accept your apology because I didn't say anything that warranted an attack like that. So enjoy the message boards. That is all.

Hey McJerk! I helped your cause and voted for Vossens. Now get that damn thing lowered already before I find your car and cut your springs while you're sleeping!
