I... can't sleep. CLS55 arriving in 30hrs

Blessed myself with one sweet car, none the less it's my first one. CLS55, in Granite Grey with graphite interior. Fully loaded minus distronic. Should be here Sunday morning.

I've driven plenty of AMG's, and a ton of others cars... but this is officially my first ride.

Goal....

Dual Bi-Xenon Headlights w/ other lighting mods + CF housing
CF Grille - emblemless
Brabus Rocket bumper with CF vents
Meisterschaft mufflers
Chromed Calipers
Work T1S's w/ a stepped lip - aggressive offset
Renntech LM
Completely debadged

Eventually start on performance mods once I get used to the power

Then get to the interior (2-tone black/white)

OMFG I can't wait... I'll end up doing a few things myself within the first week.

Question, where can I purchase extended warranty to 100K miles? I checked with Chrysler and they don't seem to offer 100K, only 75K.

On the warranty, check with a MB dealer.

Nice ride, mod it up...

I purchased my car from the same dealer in AL.

I'm assuming you purchased the car sight unseen.

Brad is a good guy to deal with, so look the car over very well, and let him know if you uncover any issues.

Yep, did not see it, did not drive it, Brad and Lee are great people to deal with, but so far... the car is having several issues on its drive back (word from my brother who's transporting it here).

When you put the kickdown, the tranny pops into neutral and bogs a bit, you restart the car and it's fine again. As long as its driven calmly its fine. I called up Brad and told him the deal, he said hes going to get me extended warranty from: http://www.royaladmin.com/Pages/plans.html the PVP Plan, with 100k mile coverage. As soon as I get that, I'm going to take the car to the nearest dealership to get it all checked out, tuned up, and hopefully warrantied on the tranny.

I can't complain, I got it for a good deal, my only mistake was not getting the car inspected by some company down there before paying for the car.

Ok so I'm officially having the worst experience by far...

Dealer told me they replaced a bad tire, tire was never replaced, 300 miles away from the dealership the tire gets shredded. My brother is in the middle of Georgia with a doughnut on the car that he can't drive far with. Now he's stuck till the morning to drive to any tire shop and purchase a tire.

On top of that, the tranny doesn't shift into gears if you give it a lot of gas, you have to baby it and let the gears change super smoothly. Guessing the clutch packs are gone?

This is turning into a clusterfuk

Car is out of warranty, I REALLY hope the dealership comes thru w/ this extended warranty for me by Monday so I can get the car right into service and everything fixed.

Yup you're screwed. Gotta love scary car dealers that charge to much money for below average condition cars.

If the dealer refuses to put money in it to fix, go ahead and throw money to fix it. Take him to court for the tab.

In any event, you are the winner. You got one of the sexest and best performance exotic cars ever made. So it cost some xtra dollars. Enjoy.

Also most warranty companies will not offer a warranty before the vehicle is inspected. Primarily focusing on the engine transmission and electrical systems. Your idea of buying a warranty on a car with a blow transmission will fail miserably.

take the car and pay 600 to get it star certified.. to find out what the real headache is ...My friend had extended warranty and they told him its not covered due to plus size wheels...he paid 7800 4 a new tranny and is currently battleing it in court....with the lawerys....and everything 11000 down..... so i would try to return the car bck with some legal matters if not get dealer to fix everything....with threat of leagal matters...

wow, sorry to hear about the troubles.

Tell Brad you want to cancel the sale. Give him the car back and find a good one.

Yeah the car is parked somewhere in Atlanta in a parking lot, my brother took a plane back. On the way to the airport the battery on the car died, they had to get it jump started.

As long as Brad comes thru with the warranty and declare it on the day the car was paid for, I should be fine, I'll have the car towed to MB in Atlanta and serviced there.

So fawking upset.

Sorry to hear about all your problems. I am looking for my next car now. My first MB. I have only bought one car without seeing in person. Luckily it worked out ok for me that time. But your story makes me more hesitant seeing what you are going through.

Good luck man.

I'd take the car back and get out of this deal. This car stayed on Manheim for a while and was priced too good to be true. Also has some sort of front end damage that isn't disclosed, they say it has a clean Carfax and Auto Check, but admit that the front cap has been painted and replaced the radiator core support. I hope you got an awesome deal, because I passed on the car for $32k. Good luck with it.

Dammm this deal sucks.. makes us all hessitant to buy sight unseen.. like he Said get out get out et out!!! I would escalate this to the GM, or anyone higher at the dealer!!!! do not buy this car especially with not even 3 days since closing the deal. If they want to play hard ball atleast make them take it back and get you another one from manheim in better condition even if it takes waiting another month or so if worse comes to worse.. sorry to hear your going thru this but i think you need to raise hell!!!! and run away from this car!!!!
