Headlights are ugly (minus the LED strip on the bottom of it). That grille is wayyyyy to big. Rear fender archs look huge too. Rear looks like the new E-Class (aka Hyundai) Not feeling it... yet.

Me no likey

Not great but okay...hope it does look like this so I can still have a few more years on my 08 =). Not as sporty/aggressive as the current one, but again if AMG takes over it and add on an sporty kit then it might turn out to be nice.

Side mirrors look like it's off an SUV. I don't like the mix of side body lines. My CLS might be old, but I still prefer it's looks.

+1, side mirrors appear to be too large, but it could also be a bad angle for this pic. in a nutshell front of a CL, sides of S, rear of E. must see more.

If this cars stands to be the "next Gen" CLS……. They've ruined the body lines that go over the rear wheel and what's up with that body line at the bottom of the car? Not a good look if this proves to be the next gen! Sorry, but the new E class sedan & coupe is crap, the new CL is junk and now the CLS will fall short of being anything but the same as the others if this holds true.

oh... this whole LED thing has go to come to a stop. I saw the LED conversion kit that looked like the audi & mercedes setup at autozone for honda civics and acura integras.

damn i was excited about trading in my cls for the new body. i guess i will not be doing that anymore. the new body looks more like a sedan than a 4 door coupe.

WOW, im not even going to LIE a world of difference.
seems to me the 1st one is just a regular version kind of like the c300 non sport which is fugly compared to the sport.. I think the AMG version will deff win a couple people over and it will grown on you after its sitting low on some nice staggerd 20's.

I saw the spy picture last night and I was so disappointed.
The front grill too upright. The headlights are not mean enough.
The original CLS headlights and grill brought a mean look to the car.
The lower spoiler on the new one looks like it is smiling at you.
AMG will then change the front spoiler kinda like "> <" like they have done with all their AMG's. In this case, changing the grill and front spoiler to "> <" will not give it the look that I was hoping for.
I have attached other pictures I was hoping the CLS would look like.
I actually think the new E63 looks better as well as the E class coupe.
I may leave the AMG family after driving the E55, and CLS63 over the past 7 years. My CLS 63 hesitates when you are coming to a stop at 5-10 miles and hour, and when you depress the pedal, the CLS hesitates for 1 critical second and then bangs you into 1st gear. Very dangerous and absolutely annoying. Only the ECU reset helps or driving in C mode.

yeah... that's a good idea. I should fall back and wait to see the new CLS first before jawing off.

yes... those pics look better than the stock filled E class, but seeing the AMG version in person will be the real test, but for now....the E class is not sexy from what I've seen at the dealership and I've been there on numerous occasions.
