Horrible dealer prep work on 08' Vette restored and looks stunning!

The word "New" is very relative as proved by the delivery of this vehicle. Todd from Esoteric Auto Detail shows us the various imperfections this vehicle came with and how he restores them. Check out the stunning shine on this 2008 Chevy Corvette - Crystal Red Metallic.

AFTER

There is also an extra article that reviews the Blackfire Wet Diamond w/polycharger. This is a newer sealant that is quickly becoming the favorite product of many professionals. Check out the Blackfire Wet Diamond Product Review to learn more.

We encourage you to also look at the other Professional Detailing Articles on our site. If you have any questions or comments please let me know.

Wow.... the pictures on the car are amazing and the write-up is great.

Greg - would you continue to recommend the following products or would you think that I can get something better. 2008 C63 Iridium Silver.

Chemical Guys Jet Seal 109
Chemical Guys 50/50 Limited Series Concourse Paste Wax
Menzerna PO106FA Nano Polish (Super Finish)

Would this product be OK with cars with paint protection film?

Chemical Guys 50/50 Limited Series Concourse Paste Wax
Menzerna PO106FA Nano Polish (Super Finish)
The PO106FA continues to be one of the premier light polishes in the industry. I have yet to try anything that is noticeably better. To improve results you can try different techniques with your buffer and use different pad/polish combinations. A buffer is a huge help for applying the polishes if you don't already have one, which is arguably the most important step for shine. If you have a buffer try working slower or using more pressure. Another option is to try adding another polish, I prefer to use the PO83 with an orange pad first and follow it up with the PO106FA and a white pad for optimal results.

For the sealant I love the Jetseal 109 it's amongst my two favorite products. The Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger - 16 oz is right up there with it with outstanding protection, shine and ease of use.

The Chemical Guys 50/50 Limited Series Concourse Paste Wax - 16 oz is an insane value with it's 16oz jar and awesome color on every color. I absolutely love this wax and can't say enough good things about it. There are certainly other great waxes out there, especially if you $ is no object. TheChemical Guys E-zyme Natura - 16 oz and the Dodo Juice Supernatural Wax - v2 200 ml are in another league but they cost quite a bit more. These waxes have remarkable depth and gloss but what sets them apart IMO is their crystal clear shine, there is no foggy haze what so ever, just a remarkably crisp shine.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Generally speaking all of the products used in that detail are safe on the protective film. The Blackfire Wet Diamond (sealant) CG E-Zyme (Wax) are totally safe on it. However I would definitely avoid using any polish with cutting power like the ones used to remove the swirls and oxidation in the paint.

Thanks for the information Greg. I'll be placing an order soon as I need to refill my products. I may try the Dodo Juice Supernatural Wax - v2 200 ml. Do you know how many times I could use it before it's empty?

With that jar I would estimate you can get 20 - 35 applications depending on the size of the vehicle and how you apply it. I tend to apply it rather thin so I around 30ish. If you have any other questions please let me know. Thank you in advance for the order I appreciate your support!

would this work on a black car? I've tried everything and just can't seem to get that slick glossy shine.

Most Definitely! This combination should work on any color paint. Just don't forget about the polishing step, it's really critical for the paint to look great. Then enhance the shine with your sealant and wax of choice! Let me know if you have any other questions or if you'd like me to help you build a recommendations that meets your needs (shine, protection, time, budget, etc.).

I don't think it can be used with proper warranty of the products.
