Looking at an '05 E320 CDI
Starting to hunt around for an 05. Decent examples can be found for around 31K to 35K in my area (Chicagoland) - some still in MB warranty. I was looking for a used '99, but could not find a clean one without rust or questionable records.
With the gas - vs - diesel cost differential, it is still more cost effective to go diesel until the cost spread exceeds $1 per gal. (E320 vs E320 CDI). The good thing for me is that the "Publicly Viewed" cost of Diesel far exceeds premium gas - it seems to be depressing the used CDI market. When looking at an 05 CDI, is there anything that I should avoid or look for? - beyond the usual Clean CarFax type stuff? I think that it may be a good time to buy. |

Only thing I'd say is get the car with the equipment you want. It's VERY expensive to retrofit, Command, HID lights, etc.

Being in the Midwest - the only thing that I really think that I need are Heated Seats - beyond that - it's all gravey!
