1982 240D fuel guage

Hello All,

The sending unit on my car is messing up. Or something is.

The fuel gauge works properly but the reserve light is almost always on.

How is this fixed?

it could be a short

or the contacts in the sender are stuck. Time to pull out the sender and clean it.
