Replacing headunit in a 300D
Juast bought my first 300D and loving it, just wanting to swap in a cd player and i got no idea how to get the old one out
anyone had experience on this able to give me some pointers? cheers some nice rides here too haha |

You may want to consider using an fm transmitter. The system in the car is a two channel relatively low-power setup, which will not sound good at all with modern headunits (not to mention you will only be running front or rear channels). And you will have to cut up all the wiring to make it work.
I am in the process of reversing this in one of my cars, so if you end up taking the head unit out, I would gladly take it off your hands. |

im putting in new speakers etc aswell :P
jsut need to figure out how to get the deack out.. i can get the face off or anything |

Is there a small horizontal slit in each lower corner? If so, you need keys to get it out.
Also, these do not have removable face plates. |

If you cut off the "plugs" for the becker unit I would like to buy them from you.

Remove the ash tray, the two screws behind it and the piece the ashtray sits in. Then there are two metal tabs below the radio that you can now access. Pull these down to release the radio and pull it out.
