I have tried those new low profile blades and not had any luck, stick with a good Bosch blade.

The problem with the Bosch units from Autozone and other parts stores, is that they're not designed with the extension mechanism of the W124/W201 monowiper. If not installed properly, as the wiper arm extends, the wiper blade could loosen from the arm.
Our monowiper's extension mechanism failed not too long ago so now it just wipes without extending, but we have a surplus wiper assembly ready. Problem with that, is that the old one hit the windshield trim, so we used a 20" wiper instead, to prevent it from knocking against the windshield trim, until we get that replaced. It doesn't rain much here in CA so there's no worry...yet. |
