windshield squirters not working...

'91 300E only 70K miles with Euro (no wipers) headlamps.
I replaced one of the washer pump motors some months ago as wall as the sealing grommets but now the motors do not activate from the push lever on at the steering pod. Fuse #2 is good, and no other known electrical malfunctions.

Is there a relay that activates the windshield resovoir pump motors? Any ideas?

thanks

Do you have a test light? If so unplug the washer pump and insert the test light in place of the pump, then activate the washer and see if the test light lights up. If so then it's your pump. The pump is driven directly from the turn signal switch.

Your combo switch could also need replacing.

... ok cool your jets, well since they squirt and don't jet what is the better descriptor? , must admit did not know what exactly to call them, after all most readers are male and can identify...

My test light is a cheapie for 110 / 220V so I may have to get a decent one. I gather that there is no relay in between. Since I replaced one of the motors a few months ago it would be highly unlikely that both suddenly failed but testing should verify this. More than likely its the push in component not making contact or something of that order..

thanks
