Yeah Ill pass on the Alphards. Ive seen them on plenty of VW's, but I don't think theyd look good on a w124.

I saw somewhere recently on one of these forums a set of OG AMG 2piece 17s or 18s??
Someone in Chicago has a set of authentic BRABUS IIIs that need to be rechromed or powderoated - dirt cheap (shipping though)

I had them on my w124 they look fine. I know everyone here likes to stick to AMG or period correct everything but then again that's why i don't frequent these forums anymore...

HaHaHaaa. Understood, I feel you there...I like the blocked out red tails by the way, thats how myne were before I got the E55 (knockoffs) on my ride. Looks clean man. Those BRABUS IIIs are tight though 20x9.5 5x112 35offset - I was thinking about them for my next project...Funny though, people AMGs usually ditch the AMG wheels and people with regular BENZs are all over AMG wheels??? I think the MANDRUSemils I have would complement the lines of W124 quite well (chrome maybe matte black)

I know what you mean about people all wanting the same thing on their 124's. I just want something with a little lip for once. Ive never had a set of wheels with any so to me, this is something different.

I am open to more suggestions though! especially since I know youve tried so many different sets on your car.

I saw those Brabus mono III 20x9.5 5x112 35offset - fit only if you have a CL, SL, or S-Class... I've ran 20x9.5 +35 on a CL500 with 245/35/20...You can stretch the tire and put a 235/35/20 and make it fit but you'll have to go low to pull off that look...

There are tons of options, you can even look for wheels with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and use wobble bolts or have them inserted if they don't make them in 5x112.

Monoblocks and look good and mesh designs look good too, just depends on what you want. The mesh design wheels in the second link look really cheap imo

Could try something different,

http://images.google.com/imgres?imgu...a%3DX%26um%3D1

bentley wheels would fit on (5x112 with good offsets) ,esp like the ones on the white golf.

but with 500 E arches something deep dish would be nice

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/20-OZ...Q5fAccessories

5x114.3 option

Ok Ive pretty much gotten it down to my final choices.

Brabus III - Not easy to find a decent set.

Carlsson 2/6 - Found a set local in 19" staggered for dirt cheap ($750)

Carlsson 3/6 - A little more rare, but not staggered and only 18". (Same seller has for $800)

AMG AeroII 2 Piece - Same seller has them local for $890 with tires.

Keskin KT-1 - Still looking for a set

Rial Daytona Race - Doubt I'll find a set

Linea Corse Lemans (LM rep) - Found a decent staggered 19" set for $1000 with tires, but not sure if theyll clear the front brakes, and I cant test mount because seller is not local.

Leaning towards the Carlsson 2/6 which I will probably get once I dump these Brabus VI reps Ive been sitting on.

YNV: I have spacers I could use with the AMG wheels, though I know a higher offset is usually gonna mean less lip...

As far as the Linea Corse LM reps, I havent seen anything from eurotech on ebay. All the LM reps I did find are decently priced for 5x120, but all the 5x112 ones I find are outrageous.

Battlecat: If youre talking about the ones on craigslist a couple weeks ago, I did see those. I was thinking about it, but I havent seen the listing back up recently so I dunno. Do you know the seller?

I would be interested in the 1 piece version, though multi piece are preferred.

I know the buyer; they're here in OC still. I'll ask him...

Have you looked at the wheels they used on the SL500/600 Silver Arrows? Definitely a Benz wheel but definitely not one you see every day.

I'm semi looking for 4 front sizes but they are rare as hens teeth and priced accordingly. Even at the junkyard/ recyclers.
New, you are looking at $2K each. From the stealership. Yes, I know.

Thanks for the suggestions Rouven! I actually have a picture on my phone of your cars together (The e500 you posted first, and a 190e evolution) Great looking cars!

Is that a projector retrofit I spy beneath your lenses?

hey thank you very much guys, haven't been here for a while!
why? i don't know...
@rivcal, yes these are bi xenon projectors, but i don't have better pics of it. in winter i will be back at home and if i don't forget i'll make some better ones. there where some people here in the forum who want to see some details and how the light is spread...

btw. bought a 722.6 5 speed trannny and all other parts which are needed to throw the 4 speed over board. needs a complete conversion to me system etc.
but this is another story don't want to hack this thread.

Looks good man!

Anyhow, I ended up picking these up yesterday:

Carlsson 1/6 19" x 8.5 front, 10" rear. As of last night, I am running my H&R springs without springpads. I plan on putting my H&R 10mm spacers in all around to fill the fenders just a little better, but I do not have long enough bolts at the moment. Plus, I think the springs will seat a little more after driving the car a little longer. The shots were taken about a mile from my house. (BTW, sorry for the crappy iphone pics)

Not a bad look, but still not exactly what I'm going for. I figure I'll roll around on these for about a year while the search continues.

EDIT: Holy creepy hell! Does it look like there a face in my passenger seat to anyone else?
