I guess yours is M104 HFM engine, 10 means MAF is open circuit. Is engine wiring harness replaced on that car? If not its time to replace it. Before replacing MAF check the wiring from sensor to ecu(continuity test with multimeter).

Great. Thanks for the info & diagram.
Wiring harness is not cheap though... The 1st thing i need to do is test the wiring and hope it holds current up to the MAF |

While at it also inspect how bad engine harness is, not replacing wiring harness might prove costly.
Google for "MB Wiring Harness Failure" for more info. |

wiring looked great. harness must have already been replaced. replaced the MAF and car now purrs like a kitten. THANKS
