what's the part number on the ezl? I may have a brand new in box one for you for a couple hundred cheaper than the dealership.

OK - here's the scoop - PIFCAT2 was definitely on the right track. However, for anyone out there who may need one, now or in the future I am confident in stating that THERE IS CURRENTLY ONLY 1 PLACE ON THE PLANET REMANUFACTURING THESE UNITS!!!!!!
After an exhaustive search using search engines that most people don't have access to (as a PhD student I have subscriptions to these search engines paid for me - hope they don't realize I'm using those privileges to search for Merc parts!! hey I call that legit!) I found that PIFCAT2's first recommendation, 4Mercedes in Florida is the place. They are US$1025.00 and have a 3 year warranty. None of the other places guarantee their units as they are secondhand and could fail at any time. None of the other remanufacturing houses have stock of the modules at this time - they simply don't have the resources. Hope that saves some of you some time. marty |
