New Springs popping and creaking???

So I just had a garage put on stock replacement springs and now when I brake or accelerate the springs(or something) sound like they are shifting and popping. It is kind of unsettling. I am going to take it back to them but wanted to know if you guys had any thoughts. Maybe they left the spring seats out or something. I haven't popped the wheels of to look. Let em know what you know

Thanks

Gary

Are you sure its the springs?

I know the "creaking" I once had was the sway bar bushings.

Pretty sure. Maybe they didn't tighten them down though. It was completley quiet before they did the springs and now it is making the noise. I just need to get under there and look

Like you mentioned, make sure the spring is seated nicley on the perch of the LCA, also see if the rubber bump pads are up top.

that is what I am going to do. I have a suspicion that they didn't switch them off the old ones and just discarded them.

On my car, while putting the shocks back in, a nut stripped onto the bolt and wasn't holding and from being just slightly loose it was clunking badly. Had to cut the bolt off as it was never coming apart. Make sure everything is really tight.

I will check that. i am taking it in to the shop that did the work and making them go over it while I stand there and watch.
