Hello everyone. As my title states the transmission on my 93 300E is going,
Second gear is slipping. my question is there are two 124's at the local junk yard I was wondering if the transmissions from prevoius years bolt up or am I going to have to find one from the same year. I know rebuilding this one is my best choise, but I need this car running, and if I rebuild it the car will be out of comission for a while. I figure I can do the trans swap in a weekend and save money to rebuild my original then put it back on eventually. How much would the rebuild set me back? I figure a trans at the junk yard would probably run me $300 not sure about the rebuild.
any info is greatly appreciated
Thanks
C.M
