I guess that will be my next move, I'm not sure how one interfaces w/ the other. If I disconnect the sensor wire the light should come on, correct? Thanks.

Not sure how similar the 300e is to my 94 320 but my light is always on because there is a harness that sends the signal from the sending units of the Oil PSI and level sending units and it is bad which shows no pressure and no oil. Might be something to check into for you. It is a cluster of three wires on mine. Just a thought.
