Much better ps2cho! Dont forget that when you drop it, it will also camer out that rear wheel a little too and it'll add to that look. To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

Do you think I'll need to roll the fenders with those 16x7 wheels if I drop it? They are 205/60/16 ET35 IIRC.

I have a set of 18" AMG Monoblock II's...but I kinda am leaning towards retaining the ride quality as my wagon has 17 Monoblocks and the ride quality difference is quite large between the two cars....so I might just stick with the Lorinsors and maybe get them rechromed as its peeling off + oxidized in the grooves.

Nice! I'd be interested to learn what modification has been done to the antenna.

Damn, Zed - nice post - that E500 is clean! That euro gauge is sick too. I was gonna pick up one of those recently.

Hey Guys..

I recently bought another W124 but an estate this time, but the car is too high, well i think its suppose to be as high as it is. Can you please tell me how to find out the size of the Spring Pad that is on there and also what size i need to lower it the maximum and would this affect the ride as there would be less rubber to bounce on?

Thanks

My guess would be the shocks were changed and it lifted the height of the car.

If you kombi is a 4-matic, you won't be able to make any adjustment to the suspension in terms of spring changes, etc.

Look under the car - at each corner. The spring pad has small markings on the pad - indicating the different pad thickness. Each "Notch" or "bump" represents a corresponding value in mm.

The car is def not a 4matic, I will check it out but i really want the wheels sitting level with the arch but dread ruining the ride by putting on different spring like Eibach....

Being where you are, it may be easier to source "Sportline" spec suspension bits. I strongly considered going that route, but wanted a more lowered appearance.

Good luck!

Now tinted

Decided on 15% rear and 50% front. I am very happy with the decision.

Next pics will be after I cut the springs.

This is a 1991 230TE, I only picked it up a couple of weeks ago and once I've got the stalling problem sorted I've just got a couple of cosmetic things to fix.
