damn i love these oldies. they are true classics, so far ahead of their time it's almost impossible to believe. i dare say every line on the W124 is just perfect. even today i'd be proud to drive one of them around! and it seems that in almost any news photo you'll see them in conflict regions: truly indestructible. i had one until very recently, and she was still driving fine after over 170k km!

I agree.. I love the W124. The only car I'd replace it with... is another W124. The E500/500E. The only other car that comes close (in my opinion) is the BMW E39 M5 (for its subtlety and 400hp V8)

just can't sell mine... so I still have it after all this time

Here it is with my 'daily driver' the Porsche 944

Holson, where did you get those Evo wheels and how much did they cost? Or is that a sportline model in which case they come w/ those wheels?

You can get the EVO wheels from Bekkers.

definitely a nice set of wheels. I'll probably end up getting a set one day and perhaps paint them.

Maybe one day after college is all said and done with I'll look into some real AMGs or Evos. Right now I've got my sights set on some 17" Borbet LS wheels.

lol. Hey man, I'm going through the same situation as you. Just save up money and get the EVO's or another AMG wheel. It'll be much more worth it.

Great Idea! I'll just use my rent money and live in my car, LOL. HAHA, I know AMGs are much more suited to the older boxed styles of the 124s but the Borbets are something different (and more affordable) for me. I am a huge fan of the Aero IIs and even if I could afford them I'd have to consider the cost of tires; they're just going to have to wait.

Don't know how I missed this post? But here is BigBlue. She's got about 136k on the meter and is my little hotrod! It is a 95 E420 and a couple of months ago I treated her to E500 front and rear sway bars and KYB shocks all around! God do I love hanging this baby out in the corners . I also treated her to a new set of sparkers and new caps and rotors! She now purrs like a kitten full of cream! I never thought I would ever love a 10 year old piece of iron but these cars truley are classics!

Smokiesman, looks good. How much did you pick up the 500E front and rear sway bars for?
