Ticking noise when accelerating

Hi, under acceleration, i can hear a ticking noise from the exhaust or outside the car with the windows down. You can hear it best when your next to another car and you press the gas pretty hard. Sounds like a v8 truck, not a smooth sound of air flowing out the exhaust. Just recently i had installed an exhaust installed, now i dont remember 100% if i heard this noise prior to the exhaust. I may have , but it wasnt as noticeable.. Im not sure if its the newly installed exhaust, or some kind of leak somewhere. Or maybe something worse? All i know is that the exhaust required some welding. Car is a 430. Any ideas? Loose manifold? Hole in the exhaust or something. Thank you!

Just curious was it a oem one or aftermarket
?
My vectra used to tick from the exhaust and for about 10-20 minutes when you parked up, if it was not oem it might be the heat causing the metal to tick expanding when hot and contracting when cooled.
if youve messed with the exhausts tube diameter it could causee it too
