Yes
unplug it.First for safety second if you disconnect the ab for any reason you won't need to have it reset.
Just resync all the windows and sunroof and your steering wheel angle sensor when done.

How to synch windows/sun roof and steering wheel angle sensor
Ohlord thanks for the feed back. I am sorry can you point me to post that describe how to re synch the windows/sun roof and steearing wheel angle sensor. Thank.

The owners manual
or the reset diy in the battery area on www.benzworld.org w210 forum diy section at the top of the page.
Easy make sure you have your radio code if you need to re enter it. You get that from any mb dealer or might be on a card in your radio book.

When I replaced my rear window regulator I did not disconnect the battery and I had no problems. However, as ohlord posted it's probably wiser to do so because the window and steering re-synch only takes a minute or 2..........
