Climate control light starting to go out?

Hi,

I have noticed that the light for the climate control has started behaving randomly where sometimes it comes on while other times does not. When it does not turn on, then pressing the "Auto" button a few times somehow brings it on. Is the bulb going bad or is there something more to it?

I have searched through the forums for existing threads about climate control light. I will need http://www.perfectmarketaudio.com/keys.html keys, but I am not exactly sure about the bulb. http://www.worldimpex.com/item_detail.html?sku=843504 Is this it? I called the closest dealership and they are selling the bulb for $4 so that is cheaper than ordering online ($11 shipping!). Also, they don't sell the radio keys so I will have to get those online.

Sorry, I forgot one minor detail

This is a '98 E320.

there are one or two bulbs on top of ac pushbuttons//remove it with the keys and bulbs are in little sockets like on instrument cluster, easy to replace, and common to go out

Oh, cool, so there are spare bulbs in there?

So, you think the weird behavior is because the bulb is going out and nothing more?

I called the local dealer and they are asking for $70 including parts and labor. I am a curious one so I went ahead and order ordered the removal keys. I will check it out myself, especially if this is going to be a common issue
