Retrofit Distronic

I read about W211 distronic install by Steve. I consider retrofit distronic. I have a some question. Just set the radar and distronic on through star-diag is all for retrofitting distronic? or ECU change or other adjustment is needed---warranty problem can be happened? 2. CLS distronic is same or different compared to W211? 3. Recently upgraded distronic plus can be installed in W211 or we must wait for face lifted W211(---it may have possibility has a distronic plus for W211)? 4.After install , how about warranty? Thanks in advance.

Steve is the most competent retro-fitter of OEM parts I have ever known off.. if he can't do it, it can't be done.

If he says he can do it, then I'm sure he can..

Jeon, the biggest difficulty in retrofitting distronic is getting a NEW codestring for you ME unit that is suiteable for YOUR car WITH additional distronic...as long as the ME does not get recoded - there is no distronic, no matter what (as you saw when you sat in my car, cruising the german autobahn ).
In order to get this coding done, you need a knowledgeable frindly person at MB and that is impossible to find (for most people).
So - without stardiagnose and a codestring distronic will never work.
