W211 Owner's manual (PDF)

Hello,

I lost my E-Class Owner's manual.
I've already ordered a new one from my MB dealer but I was told I'll have to wait 3+ months for it.

Does anyone have the PDF manual for the W211?

It's very easy. Go to www.MBUSA.com and register your VIN in the Owner's section and you can download the PDF. Even if you have the printed manual it's sometimes handy to have the electronic version. If you have trouble getting it, send me your e-mail address and I'll e-mail you the PDF. It is 6 MB.

What is a VIN?

Can you please email the PDF to migabc@clix.pt.
Even if it is a US Spec manual, it's better than nothing.

I don't think he has a MBUSA model nor a VIN that would be recognized as such. Perhaps a search here for the manual would be more helpful:

I don’t think you can get the electronic version of your own Owner's manual from any MB dealer in Europe (at least I'm sure it's not available in Portugal).

So if someone from the US has access to these manuals from MBUSA, can you please send me a copy of the W211 (preferably the W211 E220 CDI - if not any other CDI will do).

Thanks, but I already have that one (this is a very simple interactive manual).
What I ready need is the complete 500 (?) page manual.
I need to check on several things there and the paper version I ordered from MBPT will only arrive in about 3 or 4 months

. They told me these manuals are printed 1 for each car, so my order still has to be printed which will take all this time

Can any of you US guys please send me the W211 manual?

I have the European-version W211 .pdf manual, in English, dated 6/03. It's obviously not the latest thing but it may be better than nothing. If you want it, PM (personal message) me your E-mail address. It's 3.825 Mb (478 pages), so a broadband Internet connection would be good.

It seems exactly like the one I had (except for the language and right sided steering wheel).

It is unlikely that you can find a genuine pdf-copy of a Euro manual. Are you sure the US copy isn't sufficient for you? Which model year car do you have?

Me too. I believe one reason has been from the multiple language versions for Europe and used cars travelling from one country to another where local official importers have tried to make business out of user manuals, some time ago they may not have sold any local language copy but now EU rules force them to do that.

The fact that on-line copies are available, if I remember right, printing from the on-line copy is supported. One would just need a full adobe acrobat to combine the prints into a pdf-manual (not exactly the same as the US versions when search etc. are not supported from the printed pdf).

For quite some time only the English and German language versions were available, now the selection is pretty much complete.

I have not seen a Euro pdf but the US manual is available in pdf format and could be better than nothing at all.
