The e350 does have the P1 package. I actually wanted an e550 to start so the v8 doesn't bother me at all. Might just wait until the year end to see what the dealers would be willing to take. Thanks! Paul To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

imho, I think in the end you'll be happier with the 550. And P2 is very worthwhile. I initially thought the V6 would be fine for me, and I also was apprehensive about airmatic. But the car became just a little bit too bland for my personal tastes and so I switched to a new E63. imho, the V8s make for really smooth cruising. And I now appreciate the ride of the airmatic suspension.

Just keep an eye on inventory; there aren't a whole lot of 550s out there (tons of E350s by comparison.) Maybe stop in at your dealer and get a price out of them. Then sit on the fence and wait for them to make you better offers as time goes by.

Good luck!

I agree with this strategy. However, just keep in mind that supply of E550's and E350's differ from area to area. If you are in an area with plentiful E550's (in the color/configuration you want) and not many people interested in E550's, then you are lucky! However, if you are in an area with a lot of demand and few E550's (in the color/configuration you want), then you may want to consider getting is SOONER rather than later (in case they are all purchased by other people).

Just remember "deals" vary from location to location, dealership to dealership. Again, if you live in an area that has much more demand than supply, prices on the E350/E550 probably aren't going to go down that low (at least on the most desirable colors/configurations). If you live in an area with much less demand than supply, then it is very possible that the E350's/E550's hit those prices in a few months (probably around October-December or so... give or take). In fact, if you live in an area with left over brand new 2008 E350's/E550's, you probably can get an even better deal on those!

It all depends on location, location, and location... and supply...

Hey Guys,

Mercedes Benz of Ft Pierce gave me the best offer so far.

60k E350 with P2 and Pano for 43k and with a 2.9% apr on the lease. I mentioned to her a deal I found in Edmunds from her dealership. Contact details to the sales person is two posts down.

I will post my final numbers after I get my paper work.

Good Luck

WOW! IMO that's a super good deal (especially for P2 + Pano)! Too bad I wasn't willing to fly across the country for my new cars. In May 2009 the best I could come up with for P1+ iPod/MP3 + Pano + Parktronic in SoCal was around $46,500. Oh well, there weren't any more P2's available with the color/configuration I wanted in my area anyhow...

The person I dealt with was Leann , her number is 772-579-8008 , from Mercedes Benz of Ft Pierce

She mentioned the CLK550 was around 20k off the MSRP and available with 2K down. CLK350 was around 17K off MSRP. She gave me the best deal the first time around. I am assuming the E 550 will also be 20k off the msrp.

Call her if you want a great deal on the E or CLK's. It seems the E-Class has the best lease rates along with max msrp off.

I guess $25K discount is feasible if look in last year numbers.

Cracker123,

I took your advice and called Leann and here are the numbers she gave me:

2009 E350 lease; White on Black; standard options (Sport, P1); $469/month + tax; 36-months; 12K miles/yr; .00185 MF; 47 or 48% residual. Around a $38K final Cap Cost as I recall (will get a hard copy of the deal sheet tomorrow).

Also includes 100 mile flatbed door to door delivery and install purchased MB Wood Steering wheel. I will also pay first payment + registration + tags + MB Acquisition fee upfront though.

Deal feels good - what do you guys think?

That's nearly 28%. Even at that price my bet is they are losing money. Try $45000

That is not so hot. If you buy it out you will be paying $55K plus the fees.
Get another quote would be my advice

Excellent, we are picking up another E550 from her for my cousin. She's finally giving us about 21k off the MSRP. Asked a dealer in Dallas, and Khalifornia and they could not match that. The dealer in Khalifornia actually got hostile and started shouting.

The MB of Westminister did match the deal but decided to go with Leann, since we bought one from her already.

As of 10 ays ago, SOME local dealers in the PA / NJ / NY area are willing to sell for $2K - $3K under invoice ... in addition to the $10K incentive. Theoretically, a $55-57K stiker could be purchased for around $42 (if I have my numbers right).

There's more money in play than that

I've got an offer on my desk right now for 14.5K under invoice...and that was virtually unsolicited on my part

I'm starting to believe these folks claiming 20K off sticker

Your number is only about $1K-2K different than when I noted. It just depends on how the offer is presented. If MSRSP is $57K, and invoice is $55K, a dealer might (eample) sell for $53K, then deduct $10K dealer incentive to yield $43K sale price - touting $12K under invoice.

You folks should be able to call your own shots now on E550s. They've got to get them off the lots. Two new MBWorld members just pulled some great deals (35k off MSRP) on E63s. E550s are just as hard to move. And there are still tons of E350 sitting at the VPC and dealer's lots.

Don't be timid to come out with a crazy discount number and try it on the dealer for size. Then sit back and wait. For the dealer it's a game of waiting until the right customer comes along and pays more, or just let it go to you. Time is on your side.

yea it was mercedes of south atlanta. but they are shady. they said they cant honor that price this week. it was a special for last week only . was not going to buy that one anyway. the airmatic seems messed up in that car (car keeps raising to the high position).
however, secured a deal at $21k off msrp or basically 30% off at another dealer. Will provide details once papers are signed and the car is delivered. The deals are out there!

If the sticker was 65K, less 18% = $11,700 discount. Considering there is $10K incentive $ to dealers, it would seem as though the dealer sold at or about cost. Most others are posting sale prices below invoice (plus $10K).

If this is true that they got 35k off of an e63 then it makes me feel like an idiot. I could have had a 63 for the same price i paid for my 550. My cars msrp was 69,000 and I got 19500 off. But 5k was from the fleet discount. So i paid 50,000 for a loaded E550 and if my math is right 91000 for E63 -35000 is 56000 minus my fleet discount would be 51000.

Kind of depressing
Although I do really love the E550 traded in an 03 c240 and they are not even comparable.

Typically, the end of any given month is a great time to car shop as the dealerships are trying to hit their end-of-month numbers. Also, the end of the year is good for the same reason on an annual scale. At the end of december, there are two quotas to meet and you can come up with great deals while they attempt to move cars. Besides, that is Christmas...Best time IMO

600hpvette just bought his from Fletcher Jones in Newport Beach for $35k off.

RobDoc bought his a few weeks ago from Anaheim MB and got $34k off. His also has P030.

But MSRP on the ones that are left are at around $97k as optioned (not $91k) And RobDoc's was an extra $8.5k for the P030.

By the end of this summer, one should do really well on any '09 E Class.

Here's the thread: New guy to the E63 Game in OC

Guys help me out here since I don't lease cars. How does cap cost relate to purchase price? This sounds like close to 20k off?
