Figure how many miles you plan to put on the car each year and do the math.

Bottom line, imho: keep your money in your pocket where it belongs. Back end sales are profitable for the dealer and the dealer alone.

No, at least not for our '09 GL320 BTC...they wanted >$3k to pre-pay for the first 5 services (at 10k intervals)

Might be something you can work into your deal, but like the other poster said, the dealerships make too much money on them, so it's hard to get it as a throw in.

I don't completely agree...it's just that the MB maintenance plan is a rip-off at the cost they are asking. When I worked for BMW, their extended maintenance plan (up to 100k) was very reasonably priced.

One reason for that might be that BMW maintenance is free for the first 50k miles.
