G 550 Question

Background:
I test drove a 2009 G 550 yesterday and after driving it for a while I realized it was in L mode, I had drove at speeds up to 65 MPH, The dealer was with me and he figured out how to reset back into H and I continued my drove without incident.

My question is;
I am interested in purchasing this vehicle but now concerned this may have damaged the transmission or transfer mechanism in some way?

What is the max speed in L and likely issues caused longer term if any

Would you be concerned and not purchase this particular vehicle after that??

Other than that an awesome vehicle, I was looking at RR SC but just could belly up to the blahness of the look; the G definitely cures that.

Thanks
