I'm pretty sure that the only G400 was the CDI; and it was only sold for a short time. It was quite problematic for many people.

Wasn't there a G420 CDI at some point? Anyway, for 2010 the only diesel model is the G350 CDI which is a V6 diesel.

I think you're right; but in both cases they were CDI motors.

Well, G is G and GL is something else in my books
.. that is... The GL was made indeed 420 either with V6 or V8. I am possibly after a G vesion with V8 engine year model 2001- but sad to hear that it has had some problems on the way, was just wondering if this special model had some problems with the injection system. There are not so many G 400 models around. Maybe one is safer with 3.liter G which has been made longer and is known everywhere. Last edited by MBHANNU; 11-05-2009 at 03:58 PM.
