I am getting a G55 in October. I am getting the interior wood trim replaced in carbon fiber (including the steering wheel). Can't wait to see how it will come out. The company that will do the job is known to be 1 of the best in the US.

The MB German website now has a new tool which allows you to play with all the designo exterior/interior color options for the 2010 G55, and includes high resolution pictures of the interior including the leather covered dash. FYI, not all of these color combinations will be available in the US.

Wrong...if you read the whole thread, you'll see a link to a Daimler/Mercedes press release listing a bunch of improvements in the 2010 model compared to the 2009 including new seats from the 2010 E-Class, updated electronics, ambient interior lighting like the S-Class, new spare tire cover, leather covered dash, new interior and exterior colors (both standard and designo), etc.

I have purposely delayed buying a new G55 because the changes in the 2010 model are worth the wait, in my opinion. In fact, below are some images of the exact config I'm ordering (exterior in the new designo platinum magno matte paint finish, interior in designo maron leather with leather covered dash, and the new designo piano black wood trim). If you'll look carefully, you'll see the new front seats in the second picture.

Looks good...but which white? There are two different standard white colors and one special order white...so check with your dealer before confirming.

Have you considered designo mystic white? The 2010 model is the first year it's available on the G55 as a "standard" color.

i wish i could! i ordered it over a month ago before the 10' colors came out...today i was offered an 09' with the dark maroon exterior with white interior with only 1023 km's on it for ALOT less but i chose to stick with my white order for an 10' with sand interior....partly because the white interior is very hard to maintain and i really like the white exterior alot more.

G55 2010 is now in Dubai - i have been told that one G55 2010 already reached dubai and now in CAR showroom with German specs imported..

I had my 2009 G55 stolen 2 weeks ago in Downtown Montreal in the middle of the night while attending a friend's party.

I guess the G is in "high demand". Whoever gets it sure will enjoy it.

No man. Haven't and won't be getting it back. Like the police said the night of the theft: "It's most likely on a ship on some ocean already".

Whoever gets it, whether its in Africa, Eastern Europe or South America sure will enjoy it; it was brand new with little over 3000 miles on it.

aaa i cant beleive it i really hope you got insurance or another one,any other car no problem but sorry i dont think anybody deserves getting their g55 stolen! i saw an amazing 09' in maroon in london today...how did they steal it? did they get replica keys or were you in it?

As we say "**** happens". No big deal, it's just a car.

Yes, I had full insurance coverage on it but no clue on how it was stolen (towed on a platform? replica key?)

ps: the exterior colors available on the 2010 model are superb. there is a blue and a red available. that's what i would get if i'd get another g55. i don't intend to buy another g55 for the moment. i have enough cars home. waiting for winter to pass to get a dbs.

btw is anyone is reading this thread for G55 2010 theres a G55 in London in the chelsea showroom un-registered and is considered to be the latest model 2010 is u ask them they will tell u cant order a 2010 and this is latest one and they dont make them anymore but in reality its the 2008 model the old one without the new alloys and all the changes.....and the price they are asking for it is.....
