Almost to the day

The Insurance Company paid me soon after it was stolen, so it was theirs at that point ... but it did turn up, and from what I was told, in excellent condition

Same here. The insurance company is leading a 1 month investigation then will pay me the full purchase amount. At this point, I can care less if they retrieve it or not.

First deliveries of 2010 G55's have already happened in Germany, first shipment expected to arrive in the UAE in the middle of next month. I read somewhere that one had already been imported to Dubai by a used car dealer, but I'm not sure.

does anyone knows where can i get those rear light guards and front signal guards for the G55 2010? is it available only for the US market? i've noticed that they come on all US imports... thanks in advance.

you are right , mine is expected to arrive to Dubai mid of Nov,

and yes there is one G55 2010 already in dubai, you have read it in the 3rd page of this thread

I though they were going to change the spare wheel cover as well with a larger MB Star. It seems they changed their mind.

I was in San Diego last week and checked with a dealer there and they are getting their first 2010 models in November or early December. They didn't have a price yet and the MBUSA website hasn't been updated to reflect the new model.

On page 24 of the catalogue, do you know if the G55 has always (recent years) been equipped with the 4ETS technology or this is something new to the 2010 model.

I assume the 2009 model also has it.

4ETS has been there for many years, since 2001 I believe. It has been updated slightly since then, most recently in 2008 (?) to add hill-start assist. It's basically just a modified version of their traction control system to control wheel spin in off-road situation.

- Designo Allanite Grey Magno matte paint
- Carbon fiber trim parts
- Special exterior chrome package: indicator, rear lamp, and underside protection.
- 19-inch AMG wheels with titanium finish
- Bull bar
- Protection strip in carbon fiber design
- Designo leather two-tone (Sand/Black)
- EDITION 79 logo

This model is limited to 79 units for the Middle East market only, and carries a premium of about $15k over the standard 2010 G55.
