Mercedes keys on eBay...
Hey I get alot of phone calls and e-mails from customers buying "blank smart keys" please be advise that Mercedes-Benz or it's dealers can't code any Mercedes key bought off eBay or outside the dealer network. Basically if you buy a "smart key" off eBay it was a waste of money.

I have told many people that here. Luckily some customers are smart enough to call and ask first but I still get clients outraged that I am unwilling to code their fake keys. I have even reported this to eBay from my work email with no response. The problem is these people selling keys get so much feedback on other working keys from different manufacturers no one second guesses them because of their power seller status. Also just FYI is against the TOS to have your business in your signature without being a sponsor.

I am trying to do exactly that. But I am having a tough time getting the internal circuit board out of my old beat-up key... I have the w204 (curved chrome key) but not the new 2010 boxy key where the back pops off. My keys are all cracked and I want a new shell (I guess thats why Mercedes switched the design to have hard keys now).
But I am stuck trying to get the white "t-clip" out that is holding in the circuitry. Any ideas?

Would it not be easy just to key a new key? I know that their expensive, I bought one a few years ago, after misplacing mine.

It's easy just use the rounded portion of a paper clip and lasso the plastic tip and pull it out.
