That color actually looks wonderful on your 600!

Nice kill! But I think what looked even better in the video is the car itself.

I always wondered what would happen when you compared the cannon of an M1A1 to the payload of an F-15E

Thanks for the compliments guys!!

The STi is stock.. In the 1/4 ive seen them go 13.0's like that.. In all fairness I did not post the video of the first run where he dropped the hammer at 6000 rpms from a dead stop and left me out of the hole by at least 10 cars while my car was fighting traction control (I love AWD!!).. I caught him and passed him at around 90+mph but man was it funny to see my car come up from behind and roll by him like he was standing still.. On this video you cant hear it but he banged it off the rev limiter from a 5mph roll where the AWD did not help him one bit.. LoL

Hmm, I was expecting some more lengths put on sooner, especially since the STi was stock and the race was from a roll, where the Subie is at a disadvantage. Nice run anyway, gotta love shift delays from the driver adaptive transmission.

sti's can usually hang pretty well even from a low speed roll. They start to lose speed at 80mph +. Since its based off a rally car, its going to have more of a medium power band 20-80mph.

DAT ,

LOL very funny.

Thank you

Im headed off to go race some 500 hp Evo's , and they are similar with that incredible launch and mid-track collapse. I was actually curious as to your car's 1/4 mile time?

Dont know as I have not headed over to the track yet, nor will I untill I snag me a set of spare rims and some DR's .. Anyways that video is when my car was stock.. It is no longer stock as I had an ECU reflash done on it.. But that driver adaptive transmission is driving me out of my mind.. I swear Im losing at least .5 off my ET on every shift.. Looks like ill be doing a TCU mod also as soon as I can come up with the cash for it..

Tell you friend to go Stage 2 (downpipe, exhaust, tune) he might be able to hang with you for a bit longer. and who rolls around in a stock STI these days... come on.

Veloce Performance did it.. Actually check here as I just made a post about it..

http://forums.mbworld.org/forums/sho...d.php?t=239780

I will get a vid of the other run once I can shrink the file size enough to transfer it to my computer..

And just to let you guys know the day I had the reflash done I took the STi dude and another friend of mine out for a ride where we ended up finding 2 modified STi's on the highway (minimum exhaust and FMIC from what I could see so im gonna assume intake, tune and a boost controller).. We didnt have a video camera that time but one of them got so pissed that I kept walking him from 50 to 130 that he almost ran me off the road on the last run to try and pass me..

The best part? I had the AC on too

Dude... I've clowned even modded STis there's a problem here...

Did he take off first? Any turbo lag on your part? Late start? I don't know what the deal was, but you should have ANNIHILATED him, period. Especially considering your modded.

2003 S600 and CL600 had the M275 V12 with TT. In 2004, that motor was put into the SL600.

Dude I guess you missed the part where I beat his ass by damn near 10 car lengths.. Or the part where my car was stock when I raced that particular STi in the video..

the original poster even said that the sti was ahead until about 90. Which seems right since the sti wasn't designed to drive on a nice flat highspeed autobahn.

They were designed to go around gravel and snow corners going around 80mph.

If you been in a sti, then you know most of the power is around 20-80. After about 80 you can feel the power flattening off which coincides with the powertrain loss from awd.

Even from video, he probably would've hung on longer if he didn't hit the rev limiter.

Not trying to start anything man

I was just saying, I absolutely clown those ricers and I'm stock too... my friend has a STi modded and even he doesn't stand a chance, it just didn't look like you pulled that hard. Were you overheating by any chance? I know our motors are only good for a run or two then it's time to cool off or be slaughtered.

Just an observation...
