05' SL600 vs w211 E55's BMW 335i 06' C6 w/Supercharger

After Calabasas Euro meet today.............

Hey it was great meeting you all! Krazzeee results from multi races Danny (W211 BEAST) deff must have a failing intercooler, (MJ50) got beat by Mario's 335i by 2 lengths he told us he has a Renn pulley & ECU

I used 100 octane mix & pulled Danny by 10+ lengths Mario also beat Danny by 5+ lengths Mario didn't use RACE GAS...

Best part!!!! Mario's bro came out w/heavily modded C6 Corvette longtube headers Supercharged etc... My SL600 ran DEAD even w/him on (2) races he's putting down around 500 rwhp so he must've suffered from the heat or something, though he said it felt strong He's run a 12.00 flat @ 118+ mph on a CA 1/4 track..

I think my 600 tt likes RACE GAS Today was great, you w211 guys better watch out for modded 335i's today deff proved there a MAJOR SLEEPER

Pic's of both our cars while driving to the meet...

It was a fun day, I just wish it wasn't so damn hot. The SL is running strong and so far the 335i sleeper is doing its job. I was a little shocked I walked away from MJ50's Renntech E55.
Maybe we can get together later in the week to do some more runs with the S/C Vette

Danny get the car looked at so we can run again, something is for sure "wrong"

its been crazy hot here in So Cal..

therefore sounds like the E with pulley and ECU was not able to keep the IAT's checked..

btw: Nice to read that the SL is back to form..

I would start with a pump and probably look at a bigger HE. for that E55.

more boost... more heat.. less power.

We didn't really run the 335 and SL that day since we did them so many times before. That day the SL had race gas (torco) and the 335 just had 91 octane but it did seem like the SL was pulling away from me. I guess Octane does make a difference in "boosted" cars.

Ditto we were just playin' around, since we already ran the krap outta them before, I really didn't expect much w/Torco but it did seem to pull hard yesterday I used 10 gallons of 91 w/1 bott Torco the calculation on bott said that should net around 98-100 octane..

Guess what I'm buying a case of

So you don't think the HEAT effects Turbo cars as well? From what I've learned on these Forums, the 600tt is a HEAT monster & has a much less efficient intercooling system than the 55k cars

Actually.. my point was the 55k's coolant system probably not able to keep up with the added boost..

as some of the guys on the E90post noted... The Stage1 E55 should do better.. but in real life racing.. anything can happen.

I have no doubt the jb3 n54 car can keep up with a stock healthy E55.. but beat a Stage 1 E55 would take trapping 116+..

but then again the race was from 60-110 and powerband is the key.

SO the 335 has only a tune and intake? No DP's, no exhaust, no intercooler, nothing right?

Said he had intercooler but sold it, also has 20" whls + suspension mods, exhaust is only tipps, our 1st 2 races he said he used Torco but not on this last outing

Did the E90 post get updated saying even though the 335 and SL did not go at it "it seemed like the SL was pulling away from me"? This is of course after it was fixed. Am I correct saying the SL would come out on top now that both cars are running well?

Because when I was reading the post people were amazed a 335 beat up a SL600 and an E55. The post did say there were some issues with the SL and the E55. I just lost the link on the E90 board. I guess I could search

Are you guys going to get together and run the 335 VS the SL 600, 335 VS E55 and the C6 vette vs everyting. Would be cool to see the E55 and SL go at it. This again of course when everyones car is running well.

Thanks for sharing

Yeah,

Whats up? Yeah i'm down for a rematch. I got a new exhaust since the last time. Not sure If I got any more power but it sure sounds better. I'll let you guys know when I'm up that way. I am also curious to see how I do agaist the supercharged C6.

Take care.

Sounds good, I called & left Dwayne a mess about rematch & if his C6 was running 100%.

update on the rematch*

I guess the Stage 1 55 was able to pull ahead by 3/4 from a short run of 45 to 100...

back to my point I made:

its about the power band and making sure the car is set to the correct gear.
