Bought a key from the local MB dealer a few years back, when my kids had lost one. Don't remember how much.

Duval Motors shows it as part 8 on this pic, for $73. Requires coding to the VIN.

I ultimately purchased from Hammersley Motors in Roanoke VA who does business online as oempartsdirect.com. I've purchased from them in the past - got it for $88 plus $10 for ship. Better than I was quoted locally from Brumos and a couple other $tealer$hips at $131.

That is true - I did purchase one, I exchanged the like brand-new housing for my old one (this is for my C43). Otherwise the internal electronics are worthless.

Here's the P/N A 163 760 19 06 - I still need recode instructions, the instructions in the manual ain't working. I know early prod models varied slightly. Duval motors got back with me a little late, I already purchased - their quote was $73

Take it to the dealership.- When I got a new key the guy hooked a pc up to the ML and ran some software to get the vehicle to recognize the key.

Chauss is right. The ML remotes are the only remotes that are required to be programmed at the dealership. You will need to take it and your ML to the Service Dept. and they will probably charge you to program it.

The car is reporgrammed to recognize the key. BUt, I just bought a used ML320 and it had only one key. I went to get two more, and they cannot sell any!!! The car has had 8 keys and that is it. It is some hard software limit that was built in years ago into the aml module or something like that. you need a new aml module, and then you need to re-key the entire vehicle. Parts cost from my dealer is $1900, then install...S*().
I will find a way...
