Another dyno session for my SL600

Ran another baseline this morning at one of our local tunners "England Green". They specialize in GM LSx engines but have recently worked on some Porsches, etc. They use a Dyno-Dymanics unit. The unit was calibrated to read Dyno Jet #'s as that is what everyone wants to see and compare to other shops DJ's. Only mod is the Eurocharger two-pass heat exchanged and CM30 pump. I did notice with the new HE the hp is not diving down after 4000rpm at it had on the previous "stock" pull last week. Oh, and I put the top back up for better aerodynamics during the pulls.

This coming week the ECU will be going to Jerry at Eurocharger/LET for a tune and then we'll re-dyno on the same unit. Stay tunned "no pun intended. Track times to follow in a few weeks.

I am waiting for the shop to email me the runs but here are some pictures. They were able to get an rpm signal from an injector wire.

STRAPPED DOWN

HOOKING UP TO AN INJECTOR FOR THE RPM SIGNAL.

MY CHEAP HEAVY 20's ROLLING

AND THE RESULTS. Look in the lower left hand corner, 487rwhp SAE corrected.

You again I knew you couldn't resist posting some dumb ass comment again.

I didn't lose anything, we just started the pull at 3500rpm instead of 2500rpm. Peak torque before was at 3000rpm. What are you going to come up with after I get a chance to take it to the track

It's my understanding that this graph and the graph from Kurt's look the same from 3500 rpm up, with the difference being that at Kurt's the run started earlier in the revs. Is that correct?

Our stock dyno graphs at Kurt's were almost identical...and I just pulled up my graph, your last dyno and my baseline are pretty close with the exception of 3500 rpm and under (obviously)...my peak torque was at ~2900 rpm.

Blazone, didn`t you get the AMG 20" corrected /adjusted tune for 20`ss? The AMG adjustment that allows 20`s to dyno like 14`s.. Shhhh don`t tell the troll..
