W210 Rear Deck Removal?

How do I remove the rear deck on my E55? I want to get to my sunshade motor.

Take out the seat bottom, then the backrest cushion. Remove the C-pillar trim pieces. The rear headrests are a little tricky, there is a small release lever at the side of the headrest arm you have to push down with a small screwdriver. It's easier to see them with a mirror. Unbolt the three 10mm nuts underneath the sunshade, accessed from in the trunk. Lift up the shelf, unplug the sunshade motor, and it comes right out,

Excellent, thanks. Do the C-pillar trim pieces pull right off, or is there a trick?

Pull off the seal around the door opening at the C-pillar, then pull towards the center of the car to disengage the clips, then slide toward the front of the car to release the panel from the shelf area. I don't quite remember if there are SRS tags on the C-pillar on your car, if there are, there is a small screw under the tag you'll need to remove also.
