LX450's were boss.

http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-te...r-rotw-ii.html

http://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-te...ft-review.html

Take a look at those two links if you're gonna get a LX450.

Aha, hell yeah.

I have a question, anyone own a LC or a LX and was disappointed?

The LX has never been that appealing to me, probably for the most part that it looks too much like a standard Land Cruiser. Not that it's a bad thing, but I think it's too bland (yes, even by Lexus standards) and I don't think the latest model has the same off road prowess which it has in the past.

I mean they look pretty damn identical to me and if it were a cost issue, I would get the Land Cruiser.

The GL is fast, fun, comes fully loaded unlike the Lexus, and is just much more practical and makes use of space better than the Lexus.
Identical is stretching it a bit.

So, how'd it go Nick?

Trying to get something that'll save you on the gas mileage?

Both cars are great options. To be honest, I think I prefer the Lexus over the GL. But, the lack of Xenons is very annoying.

Gas mileage, look the S85 engine is a veritable Prius. I feel like Mother Theresa whenever I take the wheel. I just want to do my bit you know.

Anyhoo, I never checked out either. Was stuck at work then spent time with the gf. I think I actually like this one! I'm going to aim to get down Tuesday or Wed afternoon instead, but think I'm sold on the LX. However, they've got to be willing to move plenty as I like my deals.

Hate to burst onto the scene with my incredibly pedestrian new purchase, but I went boggin with my new Aspen today and I consider my self a real authority on the issue of off roading!

I dislike the Aspen's steering on the highway, its very soft, like 1979 Cadillac power steering soft. click it into 4x4 low and it seems to find a great balance. It pulls through axle deep mud, the suspension gives you great feedback and the a pillars seem to be in exactly the right place to allow you see the rock right up until you put your wheel on it.

For a prissy suburban cruiser with 20" chrome wheels, it pulled like the old dodges I remember. The Hemi 5.7 has all the features the Lexus 570 has (minus Air Suspension) for less than half the price.

I apologize. I’m illiterate when it comes down to SUV.
