Fellow NJ small business owners (my wife is a small business owner)

Govenor Corslime has a new trick in his revenue gathering arsenal.

Today we received a letter indicating that our business taxes had been reviewed back to 1999 (lol) and we had been found wanting in our corporate tax payments, in every single year. (surprise, surprise).

5 out of 10 years they could not find our tax return.........lol, and so they decided we owed them at least $1k.

For the other 5 years they decided we had significantly underpayed our assessed taxes....lol, so they want us to make it up to them.

For a $1k tax bill, they assessed us between $500 and $600 in interest and $1200 to $1300 in penalties. The rest have similar interest and penalties assessed. So, all in all the state, which took our money quite happily since 1999, and has done nothing for us, ever, and said we were good taxpaying citizens suddenly sends us a tax bill in excess of $20k.

Thank god I never did throw out those records that were older than 7 years old. I wonder how many suckers are just going to send Corslime a check?

Anyone else get this fraudulent dunning? Class action suit under RICO maybe?

If they can't find your returns, how do they know if you underpaid?

It's like the blind leading the blind there. That's a move right out of the Rutgers parking authority's playbook.

Nice revival!

http://www.nj.com/news/index.ssf/200...argest_te.html

F'ing disgrace.

I actually wrote my Sentaor, Brian " pandering topesos and refried beans" Stack about the gross mismanagement of funds in the 33rd District and never even got a response from him. He was probably blowing lines off the thighs of some Venezuelan hooker that the state taxpayers paid for.

BTW, Hoboken is broke, and there is word property taxes are going up 40-60% in the fourth quarter this year.

Let the good times roll! I'm calling United Van Lines today.
ABBOTT DISTRICT what a JOKE!
Just look at Rte. 35 along the beach in Sea Girt area(Abbott District)!
Look at all of the NEW condos/townhouses. Can't even see the ocean!
Like they can't afford to pay their own way.

So, having to pay for two pools in a school is not as bad as long as this school will give your kids some knowledge

There already was a park there before expanding the raod way. Stacy Park, it was destroyed in the late 50's early 60's, although it was already quite tired by than, to build The John Fitch Way. Now Trenton Mayor Palmer wants to put it all back the way it was, with cross streets and red lights and the park.

But on one hand it would create access to the Delaware river.

You know, they should do something else besides build a park in Trenton. That city is going downhill fast. An institution for about 50 years will probably close up it's Trenton location, staying at it's new suburban digs. Of course I'm talking about DeLerenzo's Pizza, the best in the state. If they can't stay, there is no hope for the rest of the city.

However, even with all its flaws, I couldn't leave this state.

I'll rep NJ till I'm six feet.
Yeah but without a public restroom Delorenzo's on Hudson St. can't even sell the place. Grandfathered no public restroom clause needed for Delorenzo's anyone else new public restroom. In an old house such as we are talking it is almost impossible to do.

Sea Girt is an Abbott District? I never knew that. Per the City-Data website, the median HH income for Sea Girt is 104K and the median home value is 1.4 million. Why in the hell is the state funding that district?

Glaring example of pissing taxpayer money away. Also, Corslime said he is enacting a higher payroll tax on NJ businesses and a 14% income tax increase on those making over 250K. Trying to start up a biz? Good luck. And people wonder why the middle class is fleeing Jersey.

LDangeli turned me onto the Chris Christie Campaign. I subscribed to his updates on facebook and have been impressed by his campaigns solid fiscal conservative sidings.

I saw this tonight which may have sealed the deal for me.

Dirty Jersey: Feds Bust Dozens in Corruption Scandal Corruption sweep to be among biggest in state history

By JONATHAN DIENST and MICHAEL CLANCY

Dirty Jersey: Elected Officials Led Away in Cuffs

The mayors of Hoboken and Secaucus were among 30 people arrested in early morning raids across New Jersey this morning as federal officials unveiled a long-ranging probe into public corruption and international money laundering, officials said

FBI and IRS rounded up scores of elected officials and several rabbis across the state in what is being described as one of the biggest investigations of its kind in Jersey's scandal-plagued history.
Note that the article says the biggest scandal in Jersey's history. Its assumed that Jersey already owned the national record for the biggest public corruption scandal of all time.

Remember kiddies, when you are the best at something, keep trying, because you only have yourself to beat. Jersey wins again.
