Yeah, an update on that situation. We've cleared 6 years with them, and a 7th will be cleared soon. We have one year that the State Government refuses to budge on. They claim to have lost the return, and they claim that we owe them $1,200 for that year, most of it interest and penalties on a tax that they can't prove we owed to begin with. We have provided them with a copy of our return, which was sufficient for all other years currently cleared, but for this year in question its an issue because the copy is NOT a certified copy.

HFS.

And the state continues to pile on additional interest and penalties every month. We may have to sue the State over this one. I'd rather give the money to my attorney and accountant than Corslime.

Note that the article says the biggest scandal in Jersey's history. Its assumed that Jersey already owned the national record for the biggest public corruption scandal of all time.

Oh man YES! Gonna love to see how this plays out.

This isn't shocking, and hopefully this is just the beginning in the parade of scumbags.

Joe Doria's house in Bayonne is being raided as I type this. Gov. Corzine must be sh*tting his pants right now.

44 arrested, and just 1 Republican. I am sure Obama is proud of the goons he aligns himself with.

Man, that is one morbid tale. I had to keep checking the URL to make sure it wasn't the Onion.

I used to live in Ridgefield, home of the now disgraced Suarez. Funny that for years and years that town was a Republican stronghold and only recently went Democrat. No scandals, then they get this clown.

I'll be curious to see if any connections start popping up to Corslime.

The papers made no mention of the political party of these jerk offs, which automatically means Demonrat. Found this in Forbes, I laughed.

Quote:
The number of arrests was remarkable even for New Jersey, where more than 130 public officials have pleaded guilty or have been convicted of corruption since 2001.

"New Jersey's corruption problem is one of the worst, if not the worst, in the nation," said Ed Kahrer, who heads the FBI's white-collar and public corruption division. "Corruption is a cancer that is destroying the core values of this state."

Wasn't that a Sopranos episode? The one where the public official has ties to real estate developers who are also related to the mob, and he ends up helping them out, and then kills himself off the Route 1 bridge?

Yes it was. Funny how not a single media outlet has followed up on this story. As far as the Star Liar is concerned, there was never a person named Jack Shaw.

Who wins tomorrow? The trash counties will be automatic for Corzine but South Jersey and the suburban counties need to actually show up this time around.

A very small glimmer of hope for this state. Not surprising that Hudson Co. reelected Chiappone even though he has an indictment hanging over his head, and Corzine received almost 70% of the vote. What a joke.

I laughed out loud when I read that Chris Daggett actually gave a concession speech, with 5% of the vote. Mighty white of ya, Chris!

I wonder what job the fuzzy-faced buffoon is going to try and buy his way into now.

Close to 40% said their vote was tied to Obama. He cam ehere what? 5-6 times? I bet if he hadn't, Corzine would have had a better chance.

What does it say when a staunch Democratic state goes in the opposite direction? It says WAKE UP washington, we don't like what you're doing!

Frankly I was surprised. I guess Newark, Paterson, Camden and Trenton stayed home? No more free ice cream for them LOL

No, they came out en masse. Acorn was in operation too. The cities came in over 70% for Corzine. It was the sleepy suburbs that rose up in anger. I in fact voted 6 times.

You only voted six times? Move up here. I voted 42 times, my dead grandmother voted twice, and my dog pulled the lever 4 times. Strange though, all the levers were locked except for Corzine.

Yeah, lets see what happens.
Look at the wealthier counties. Corzine got raped in Monmouth, 64k to 128k.Morris, 49k-94k. Bergen was slightly blue.

Taxes lower? lol. Some townspeople looking to get elected came to our house on halloween and told my dad that taxes have never been this flat. My dad responded by saying, "This is true, but if you look at the past 10 years-which is how you look at trends- my property taxes have doubled to the point were I can purchase a new car every year instead of paying property taxes."

This is true.

I pay more per month in property taxes than if I went out and bought a $60,000 car and financed 100% for 60 months at 5.5%. I move that we lobotomize all of Hudson, Essex, Mercer and Camden counties.

Well, not all of Essex. After numerous failed attempts to become "West Essex county" we still pay for all of Newark to vote for people like Corslime.

Isn't always telling that when you look at these election maps -whether state or national - they are always almost all red except for the cities.
