The Dems in NJ were caught sending robo-calls to households urging them to vote for the Independent candidate. And they're still doing it today.

Also, a cop looked out his window and spotted three 'get out the vote' knocking on doors. It so happens that the cop had arrested the three for gang activity just weeks prior.

well it looks like president dummy took a good kick in the
nuts tonight. Virginia and New Jersey went republican.
and the lunatics in the congress are maybe going to delay
their health care debacle. all good news for people who
care about sane rational thought and the future of our
country.

Yeah. Too bad he doesn't do this in Congress via legislation. You know, the thing he was elected to do?

Hours after urging reporters not to draw sweeping conclusions from Tuesday's gubernatorial elections in New Jersey and Virginia, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told POLITICO President Barack Obama wasn't even keeping an eye on the results.

"He's not watching returns," Gibbs said.

The Obama administration and other top Democrats have consistently tried to play down the import of this week's contests, which Republicans have sought to portray as a referendum on the Democratic-led government in Washington.

LOL. He trekked here 5 times (though they now say 3) and he doesn't care? LOL

That's not a shock. CNN has got 4-5 positive stories about how unimportant the whole thing was - I recall their glee when the Dems won in 06.

The entire populace could impeach him and the Loony Libs would claim they had majority support

August 11 - The LA Times reports that the Iraqi military was itself fooled by the creative reporting of furloughed Iraqi Information Minister Muhammed Saeed al-Sahaf (M.S.S.): "After the information minister claimed that Iraqi forces had retaken the Baghdad airport from U.S. troops, two former commanders said, Republican Guard Gen. Mohammed Daash was dispatched to check out a rumor that four or five American tanks had survived the Iraqi counterattack. Daash returned to his headquarters in a panic. "Four or five tanks!'' the commanders quoted Daash as telling his fellow generals. "Are you out of your minds? The whole damn American Army is at the airport!'' "

Here in conservative, religious, republican Charlotte, we gained a Democratic Mayor and added to the majority on City Council (formerly Republican).

Seems to me more like a referendum on the "Party of No", but think what you like.

It appears that those individuals who voted for tax-and-spend Democrats while living in the Northeastern U.S. -- have brought their voting habits with them to North Carolina.

Charlotte breaks into top 10 list for metro areas that added the most people in '06

The Charlotte region ranked No. 7 on the list of metro areas that added the most people in 2006, according to statistics released today by the U.S. Census Bureau.

By adding more than 61,500 people to its six-county region between 2005 and 2006, Charlotte broke into the top 10 gainers in year-over-year population numbers. The prior year, Charlotte ranked No. 12.

Mecklenburg County, home of booming financial center and NASCAR capital Charlotte, grew on all fronts: total population up 3.9% in one year to 827,445; net gains from other counties of 18,126 people, up 22.3%;

Bill Clinton said those words dmatre so I guess he can believe what he likes huh? And comparing a local mayor race to a statewide Gov.race of a couple million is fruitless.

As is comparing a state governor's race to a presidential race . . .

But again, believe what you like.

Hardly. It's the state's electoral votes which pick a president. A State which went Democrat just a year ago now flipping over to Republican is very significant to Presidential race.

ORLY?

The biennial Charlotte mayoral election was held on November 3, 2009. The seat was open due to the decision by Mayor Pat McCrory, a Republican, not to seek re-election. Democrat Anthony Foxx, a member of the City Council, won the election by a slim margin, becoming the first Democrat elected to lead the city since Harvey Gantt was re-elected in 1985.

48.5% to 51.5%, you call that a mandate? Funny I don't recall Obama stumping in Charlotte for the mayor.

Comparing Charlotte, North Carolina to New Jersey - is a bit goofy even by your standards
