But things are getting better. Biden's still hopping around telling us the worst is over!

Here was their projected future unemplolyment rate when passing the porkulus bill:

Makes it really hard for people to believe that their projections for the government run healthcare plan will be 'just' $1.8 trillion

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Freddie Mac (NYSE:FRE - News; NYSE:FRE - News), the second largest provider of U.S. residential mortgage funding, on Friday posted a loss of $5 billion in the third quarter and predicted it would need more government support amid a "prolonged deterioration" in housing.

Increases in the value of securities Freddie Mac held over the period helped buoy its net worth, however, erasing its need to tap government funds for a second straight quarter to stay solvent while continuing to buy and guarantee home loans.

Including a $1.3 billion dividend payment on senior preferred stock bought by the Treasury in previous quarters, Freddie Mac's third-quarter loss increases to $6.3 billion.

The home funding company's loss comes amid a rise in provisions for credit losses to $7.6 billion in the quarter, up 46 percent compared with the previous quarter, as delinquencies worsened on loans it guarantees. Provisions will remain high this quarter, it added.

"I would say we are just beginning to see the impact of the chargeoffs on their guarantee book," said Janaki Rao, vice president of mortgage research at Morgan Stanley in New Yor

Slight change of subject:

Compare this quote from about 20 years ago to what we are experiencing, as a nation, with our current POTUS....

“Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed to your best hopes, not your worst fears; to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty’s lamp guiding your steps and opportunity’s arm steadying your way.” -- Ronald Reagan

Oh, how far (and how fast) we have fallen.

Too much blame on current and past Presidents! Should we still be blaming Bill Clinton as well? It is like blaming a coach of a pro sports team for a team's lousy record. We need to blame the players as well. In this case, Congress. If I recall, when good ole George first started, he was very popular and the majority felt he was doing a great job. That was when he had a Republican Congress, however. Once the Democrats rested control, all %#^ hit the fan. The biggest mistake George made was he forgot that Republicans stand and vote for small Government. The Republicans lost their way and the voters let them know they weren't going to put up with it anymore. I believe Obama and the Democratic Congress are going to remind people how out of control something can get and there will be big changes coming in the 2010 elections.

The problem with Big Government is our folks in DC don't know how to run anything. The Private Sector has always run things more efficiently. If you absolutely had to send a heart to save a loved one, would you send it FedEx or the US Postal Service. The same goes for Healthcare. Keep the Government out of things they know nothing about.

But when that coach is playing lousy players, or calling plays that don't make sense, it's a fair assessment to say that he is to blame for the lousy record. Obama has the responsibility to put forth a plan and action to help improve the economy. So far, everything he has done, has had the opposite effect. So yes, I think it is very fair to blame Obama for his lack of success.

Believe me, Obama deserves plenty of the blame. His programs are not working. I just want to remind people that Congress is as much to blame. Look back to the first few years GW was in office. Unemployment low. Economy booming. Stock Market flying. And then for some reason, the people wanted change. We voted control of Congress to the Dems. That is when things started turning south. Now Obamanation. Let's clean house and return to good old conservative, small government.

"It was fascinating to see Barack Obama warning us not to leap to conclusions about the killings at Fort Hood, Texas-- after the way he leaped to conclusions over the arrest of Henry Louis Gates, when he knew less about the facts than we already know about the massacre at Fort Hood."

I used to be a big Reagan hater because I thought he had a lot to do with the drugs flooding my neighborhood(which is part-true), but overall, Ronald was a true American and I can appreciate that.

Actually he said the cops "acted stupidly" without any knowledge of the incident. Hope and change indeed.

well it looks like president dummy is going to be trying the
mastermind of the sept 11 attacks in ny.

somebody tell me where in the hell are they going to find an impartial jury?

why spend all the time and money on security to try these cases in NY?

in case president dummy and his corrupt AG haven't noticed...they
have already plead guilty.

in the end it will be the US on trial. how we "tortured" these poor souls.

i can hear president dummies apologies to the Muslim world already.

Exactly right. This is nothing more than a multi million dollar dog and pony show, courtesy of you and me, the taxpayers. Not to mention the fact that they will be putting targets on the backs of the judge, prosecutor and jury members.

Looks like Obama hasn't learned from his last bowing incident. Here's a pic of him bowing to Japan's emperor.

Uhhh last I checked the whole mortgage crisis and bail out problem stemmed from the previous Bush administration. Bush signed bills for deregulating the whole banking industry. How can you blame Obama when he inherited this problem from bush. Lol.

Why is an American president bending over to a family that sanctioned WW2? Has he no pride? Or a sense of history?

I guess that he will go down in hiistory os the BendOver President.
