If anybody wants the csv file that you can import into Outlook, I already went through and completed the changes to reflect the current season, with reminders and details, so if you want the file, just pm me your email addy and I'll send to you.

Here are the instructions on how to import into Outlook, for those that aren't familiar with the procedure
Quote:
HOW TO IMPORT *.CSV FILES INTO MICROSOFT OUTLOOK CALENDAR

1. Download the *.CSV file you want to import into Microsoft Outlook
calendar onto your local hard drive (and note where you save it, desktop
works OK for this)
2. Open Microsoft Outlook
3. On the menu bar at the top, select FILE, and then select IMPORT & EXPORT.
4. On the IMPORT & EXPORT window that opens, select IMPORT FROM ANOTHER
PROGRAM OR FILE. Hit NEXT button at the bottom of the window.
5. One the new IMPORT & EXPORT window that opens, select COMMA SEPERATED
VALUES (WINDOWS). Hit NEXT button at the bottom of the window.
6. On the new IMPORT A FILE window that opens, hit the BROWSE button.
7. On the new BROWSE window that opens, go to the location where you
saved the *.CSV file and select it. Hit OK button at the bottom of the
BROWSE window.
8. On the IMPORT A FILE window, I usually select REPLACE DUPLICATES WITH
ITMES IMPORTED option as I sometime update the files during the year as
things change. Hit the NEXT button at the bottom of the window.
9. From the new IMPORT A FILE window that opens, scroll to and select
CALENDAR. Hit the NEXT button at the bottom of the window.
10. From the new IMPORT A FILE window that opens, hit finish.

Just when I was hoping that they'd get hotter Laker Girls this year, they got uglier

http://www.nba.com/lakers/lakergirls/index.html

Only cute ones are some girls returning from last year: Jessica, Richelle

Dara and Brilane look like they might be cute, but can't tell from the solo pics...and possibly Brittney

Since we're 2 weeks away from the first pre-season game and training camp is just about to start, I wanted to update all of you on some of the camp fodder that the Lakers are bringing in:

Lakers to bring in Gelabale
Link: Former Seattle Supersonic and French teammate of Ronny Turiaf
- I remember this kid as being extremely athletic and solid defensively. He's a swingman (2/3) with raw offense, but solid defense. He's the only one I can see cracking the 13 man limit that Mitch Kupchak stated earlier in the pre-season

Lakers invite Gaffney to camp
Link: Gaffney Training Camp Invite

Not much else is going on, except Lamar trying to get married to the oldest Kardashian sister, before training camp
Link: LO getting hitched?

Yup. Me too. Training camp starts next week. 1st pre-season game 2 weeks.

I'm actually really interested to see if Gelabale has recovered from his ACL surgery because he had a lot of promise while playing on the Sonics. Shoot, anybody to take minutes away from Sasha would be great!

Lakers had media day and camp has finally started!

http://www.nba.com/lakers/index_main.html

Sasha cut his hair, Pau cut his hair, Drew looks thinner - but says his knee is 100% (even though he also said he'll be wearing the brace for the rest of his career as preventative messure), Artest looks MUCH bigger than I thought, now that I've seen him next to Kobe and the rest of the guys.

Here are some pics:

Kinda feel bad for the kid though. Mental illness is no joke. My Mom's in that field, so I grew up seeing people with issues like his.

Hopefully, he's getting help and really pulls through.

1st Pre-season game last night. Boys looked really good. It's only pre-season, but a few things I was looking out for:

1) How will Drew look after getting his legs right?
- He looked MUCH better and looked to have his legs back
- Moving his feet on defense
- Establishing deep post position on offense
- Needs to react to rebounds better, but that looked more to be timing than anything. Fundamentals are still weak in the rebounding department, but hopefully that'll improve.
- Going up for power finishes again, like prior to his knee injuries the past 2 seasons.

2) How will Artest mix with our guys?
- He's had triangle experience (playing in Chicago), but he looks like it hasn't been long since he played in the system.
- I think defensively, he'll need some time to adjust to how the team plays (not necessarily his individual defense, which still looks as solid as the year he won DPOY)
- Offensively, all the "talk" about him being shot happy didn't look that apparent to me because almost every shot he took was a very solid/good shot. His box score numbers showed that he's a very well rounded offensive player and all the things I knew he would bring to the table that Trevor didn't necessarily have were very apparent.

3) Who will win the back-up guard minutes?
- Jordan looked very good. Maybe his injury did hamper him and he'll actually make a strong comeback as the back-up behind D. Fish
- Shannon brought everything that he showed at the end of last year and I think will be able to steal minutes at the 1 or 2 guard.
- Sasha looks the same, but his shot seemed to have returned...but I don't think shooting the ball well will guarantee him his backup minutes, considering how much better Shannon looks defensively (coupled with the fact that Shannon is still knocking down open 3 pointers).

Pau, Kobe, LO, D. Fish all looked same (very good). Actually, LO looks much better in the pre-season than he looked last year.

The one rotation I'd like Phil Jackson to experiment with is the BIG rotation:

5-Drew
4-Pau
3-LO
2-Artest
1-Kobe

The above-lineup could cause some crazy matchup issues and the weakest defensive point would be LO guarding the 3 spot (which, I don't believe he'll be that bad considering how much more in shape he looks at the beginning of this season). In fact, I can see that lineup combating the following Cleveland lineup (should they ever try it):

5-Shaq
4-Ilgauskus
3-LBJ (point forward)
2-Moon
1-Parker

Defensively, thats gonna be bad against fast point guards. If anything LO would play the 1, Kobe the 2 and Ron Ron the 3.

I actually like the line up of:
Brown
Kobe
Artest
Odom
Bynum

They played this last night.

I only DVR'd opening night, but haven't gotten a chance to watch too much of it yet. From watching the score, seemed like the bench was non-existent playing without LO. Hopefully Pau will be healthy soon.

Regardless, it's the first game and they got a W on a night that typically can go bad after all the emotions of getting their rings.

Keep up the progress boys and start figuring out how to lock teams down because Clippers are nothing compared to the best competition out there.

Speaking of the competition, looks like the Cavs aren't looking too hot with Shaq. That high pick-and-roll offense is gonna kill the Cavs even more! Oh how I DON'T miss watching Shaq try to defend the high pick-and-roll for the Lakers. That was the 3-peat's weakness because of Shaq not being able to show and recover fast enough.

Boston's defense looks like it's back, but we'll see how it does agains our boys on January 31, 2010!

Orlando looks deeper off the bench and made some very underrated moves.

Spurs beat up on the Hornets and look like they might be back to compete against our boys.

Man, this is gonna be a fun NBA season to watch!

So far, I think the boys are doing admirably considering Pau hasn't played in the regular season yet and Drew has that strained elbow after getting hacked by Chuck Hayes in the Houston game.

Nontheless, I really like the defense that KB and Ron-Ron bring together. It's kinda like Thunder and Lightning.

Can't wait to see what they do once Drew and Pau are back 100%.
