The symbol is a swastiska regardless of which way it faces. And for the record, the swastiska symbol used by the Nazis was also a clockwise symbol.

The symbol has been around for a very long time, long before the nazis used it. In fact, it used to be on the unit patch of the US Army's 45th Infantry Division.

Growing up as an Indian in America the swastika is associated more to me as the Nazi symbol than the Hindu religious holiday, but that's just me
And then again, I don't think I understand fully the "evilness" of Hiter and the Nazi party, I don't think I'll ever be able to grasp the concept of extermination of any kind of people - much like the rest of my generation insulted thanks to video games

Happy Diwali to everyone, I think it's great that Obama acknowledges it, it's still mythology...........

Secondly, I can see the idea of Hindu mythology being seen as "trippy" think about Diwali, a king gets exiled for 14 years and comes back. **** I know that all the Republicans would be glad to pass universal healthcare if Obama and his "staff" left for 14 years... and maybe never come back!
