I think I'll run by the Verizon store tomorrow and see if they have any of these to mess around with. Not sure I'm ready to buy one just yet, maybe wait a few months to see some daily usage reviews come in first. Plus I'm trying to save up for a home theater system... Damn technology.

Does anybody know if tethering will be possible with Droid?
I currently use my Samsung i760 connected via USB to my laptop if I'm on the road.
If yes, Droid will be worthy replacement for i760.

I just picked mine up, it is pretty cool for what I want, not sure about the other 95% of what the phone can do.

Hey guys, got mine today. I am really frustrated with it. The web browsing is so slow. My iTouch is like a rocket ship next to it. I just opened mb world on both using my wifi at home. The iTouch was here in 5 seconds. The Droid spun for 40 seconds and gave up. It took 2 more tries. I could have driven to a wifi hot spot and used my iTouch in that time frame.

So, is something bogging it down? It is frustrating as hell. Anyone else having this problem? Tomorrow I'll head over to Verizon and let them play with it. If it can't speed up I'll have to return it for my sanity and just get a BBCurve or something.

I just tried it and it took about 15 seconds or so to fully load, but most of the page came up right away.

Well, I fixed it. I completely powered it off which is like a reboot and it is rocket fast now. Strange.

Nah bro someone told me the G1 doesn't have enough memory

iPhone is for ppl who just want a phone with computer stuff, Android is for those who want a computer that also does phone stuff.

Edit: I don't have a data plan with my G1 so all my internet experience on it is through wifi. Since I don't pay for a data plan it's like I pay for a regular phone - that's why it's more of a value proposition to me vs dumb-phones.

You will be surprised as to how many people are willing to pay that much for it.

I LOVE iphones and this is probably my 4th iphone and i paid $1k for it. Straight from Australia and is factory unlocked

I know I know dumb idea but it was like a lifetime investment for me lol.

So you have tmobile right? Why dont you get the 9.99 data plan?

Isn't the 9.99$ t-zones?
The dataplan the Tmo guys told us was 15$/mo or something per line
If I got the data plan, my dad will want it, my sister will want it, and my brother will want it, so all of a sudden it's 4x the original price because it's per line
On top of that it's limited to like 5gb/month
I would phreak cell phone service if I could...
