Something to the point of almost dictating every move Motorola made when designing and making the phone. Interesting, huh?
* There’s a desktop cradle/charger that will ship with the Motorola Droid that we’ve been playing around with. It turns your Droid into a “multimedia station” and displays local weather, the time, etc.
* No one wants to listen, but it makes the CLIQ looks like a child’s toy (partly because it is, and partly because the Droid, even in its non-final form, is the most impressive phone we’ve used since the iPhone. It’s positively amazing).

I love that commercial. Wonder what price is going to be like on this. I'm eligible for the "New Every 2" and my contract ends in January. Maybe I'll upgrade to this as an after christmas present to myself. I was going to just stick with my 8830 world phone since nothing else out on Verizon interests me right now. This may change that.

I saw this earlier on Engadget, this phone looks very impressive. Too bad, I am stuck with AT&T for at least a year.

have not seen or heard of any one use an android phone here, how is it better then lets say the iphone 3gs, new bold black berry and new nokia thats coming out n900?

I was telling of using my existing wifi router for Voip in the house, but it still counted toward the monthly minutes, so there was no point to it.

I just DL'd my BB software update-
I dont think my Storm is any faster-but I do like it for the emails.....
When do you guys think cell phones will start to get bigger for the retro wave?
I cant wait for a suit case cell again!

Poor build quality (plastic?????)
Slow ARM processor, SoC's are so last decade
Limited memory and battery life is so-so (lasts less than a week LOL)
Screen resolution could be much better
Most all my complaints with G1 / HTC Dream have been addressed by future handsets sporting Android 2.0
FWIW I run Cyanogen mod 4.1.9999 on my G1 which incorporates a ton of the most recent changes in the codebase
FWIW2 I don't care for apps, I use my phone for simple things. Calling, texting, browsing and very little "i'm bored" gaming

i use my phone to make and receive calls, i don't need games, music, or for it to entertain me. I CERTAINLY don't want to be able to retrieve work email; when I'm out of the office I could care less if the place burns down...no need for them to be able to email mail me. Don't get me wrong I've been an IT guy for over a decade, but leave the techno nerd stuff at work.....I'm happy with a RAZR, unless you're a 15yr chick you dont need this phone, or most like it.

How does Android handle email and MS office Docs?

My wife just loaded an app on her PPC that lets her view and edit MS Project, which was the only app, aside from Visio, she was missing on her phone.

Hard Core office nerds need Windows phones. BlackBerry's bite.
