Would this benefit the E55(W211)? Also, is the RAT available for the E55? Does the the tune or RAT leave any trace after being flashed back to stock? What kind of gains does the Kleemann tune show w/ an E55? Thanks. To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

If you are asking about the Transmission (TCU) upgrade, the programming on the M113K (55AMG S/C) cars is already pretty aggressive from the factory, so the Kleemann programming doesn't help as much as on the non-AMG cars. The main difference is that the load-limitations are removed, which really only comes into play when you are making signicantly more power than stock (600+ lb ft).

As far as the ECU programming, both Kleemann and Renntech offer several different levels depending on the other mods you have/want. I'd like to keep this thread dedicated to the Transmission Control Unit programming, so if you'll PM me the mods/power level you are looking for, then I can go over the options with you.

More aggressive downshifting while braking, faster shift speeds, will hold gears longer. The transmission will behave more like it does in an AMG car, basically. Load limitations are also removed, which would come in handy if you were to bolt on a Kleemann supercharger

Not familiar with the Kicherer box, but the Kleemann KD-Box is a great plug-and-play upgrade for the CDI and early BlueTec diesels (non-AdBlue). Easy install and great power gains for the money.
