Question Keyless GO R500 2006

Hello All:

I just purchased my R500 (06) and see that I have Keyless Go, HOWEVER; I am missing the push button that goes into the ignition and my 1 key is not recognizing the option to open the doors by pulling on the handle.

I was wondering if this is something I can reprogram my self with the purchase of a $38. push button (that goes in the ignition)

OR

I have to pay the dealer (who knows how much) to reprogram it for me.

FYI: I purchased the car at a Lincoln dealership and ofcourse they only had 1 key and they had no idea it was even equipped with Keyless Go!

(I did get an awesome price on the car and I love it)

probably dealer

if you bought it at lincoln, then likely the car was from an auction, and the keys were all lost. So lincoln prolly ordered 1 new key, and never took it to dealer for programming.

long story short, dealer needs to set that key to the keyless system as only 2 keys are allowed to be in the keyless go memory.

and you need to order the button. No way around it i'm afraid. But if you're lucky enough to still be in warranty, just take it in, say the key all of a sudden stopped working?
