It is AWD - or 4-Matic, in any version.

Yeah, I think that it is ugly. UGLY and BIG.
But I have heard from so many people that say it rides so well, it drives so well, it is so comfortable, it handled the winter so well.... Six adults in comfort. MBZ safety, technology, and quality. And now we have the AMG R63.... I, personally, am going to have to try one. Period.

You're too young to have an opinion - or any judgement.
Do not comment here. See? Intelligent post, just like yours, huh? NOT!Save bandwidth. Ignore me. Don't post about me - there's a worthy idea! |

Im just wondering why you have to lie about stuff you obviously do not own
An example-I just saw on the ML63 section that you want to see if you like alpine rain for your ML63 order- come on man lifes to short to dwell in your imaginary life |

17 and 120 posts is far too young.
Why don't you read my next 25 posts and get a month or two older; and then check your opinion of me, and let me know if you have learned something by actually paying attention and gathering information - instead of just following the latest 'in' crowd? You're going to have to learn to do that at some point in your near future, anyway, or you're likely to get into trouble. This would be good practice, a good exercise for you to engage in.... That didn't seem like Bu**** to you, now did it?

Took Delivery of My R63 Yesterday
I am sure that I will get a lot of negative responses but I took delivery of my R63 yesterday and spent the day trying to keep under the recommended RPMs and Speed requirements.
This thing is a real beast. I have owned E V8's, ML V8's and SLKs. None of them seem as overwhelming as the power of this vehicle. Until you look in the rear view mirror you forget that you are driving such a large vehicle. I don't think the brake pads will last long but they stop the vehicle amazingly quick. As I would have expected, my first day gas mileage was horrible. I haven't been on the freeway yet. Overall, I definitely do not regret the purchase. |

I adore wagons, that's why I'd get an E63 AMG Estate. That R class is the ugliest Merc I've ever seen.

i love the pissing contest this thread has deteriorated into.
i saw a guy driving a black amg-appearance package R class the other day, although i don't think it was the 63 - didn't notice the fender badge. it looked remarkably better than the standard non-appearance'd R body. i've got a '55 wagon, and it suits me fine. i like cars more than trucks, and to me the main issue with the R is the length of the wheelbase; it's just a tad lengthy for my taste. i sat in one (R350) at the dealer once and it seems like it would be a great car for family vacations and road trips. i can understand why some people think these things are beautiful, and again why others think they're abhorrently ugly. i've felt both ways on different sightings. all of which tells me that MB must be doing something right, if they can get my $100k for their "ugly" E55T, and get yours for their "ugly" R63, and make us both feel lucky while they walk off with $200k!!! those filthy *******s!

Well I guess I have two of the ugliest vehicles on the road
My wife has an '06 E350 wagon and I have the R63. I guess I will have to post a picture with them side by side so that you guys can slam them as hard as you want.
I couldn't wait for the completion of the break in period to jump on the R63 a little bit yesterday. This guy in a CTS-V wanted to play so I gave him a little taste of the AMG muscle. When he met me at my exit he asked what the vehicle was and said he had just been schooled hard. Can't wait until a Porshe tries the same. To get beaten by a Van/Station wagon will be pretty embarrassing. |

that is the most insane-looking front end on a 124 wagon that i've ever seen. it's like a hybrid of the previous generation's headlights behind a glass sheet, hung off the front of the 80's benz! what exactly is that, if not a completely custom one-off execution? ps. hats off to the craftsman who executed the job very nicely.
